INTRODUCTION

Being a person without proper direction in a world that’s rapidly evolving can lead to serious frustration. As people, we are eager to live an ultimate life but we refuse to accept the fact that to do so, we must be willing to pay an ultimate price. As a young man, I’ve struggled with inconsistency, insecurities, depression, hurt and massive failure in almost every area of my life. I’ve failed and experienced so much in my short time here on earth that the wisdom from those countless experiences has equipped me to be able to write this book. I’m not through with failing in life and neither of us will ever be as long as we have breath. However, some of my past experiences were so painful that I would never wish them upon another person. I write this book with the hope that it will keep at least one individual from making the same mistakes I once made.

It’s my belief that we are all put in this universe for a specific purpose! God would never create something that is useless or worthless. Your life was orchestrated way before you were even created. Whether you were born out of wedlock or not, your existence is legitimate and God has a specific assignment just for you! Finding your way in a world that is filled with endless distractions and disasters can leave you confused. The search for meaning in a world that’s controlled by the deceiver is a daily battle, and not knowing which route is safest to take is our greatest struggle. Why am I here? What am I supposed to be doing? How can I accomplish this dream that’s heavy on my heart? Who do I turn to if I fail? How do I get through the tough times? What is Love? What is my purpose? What or who should I believe in? Those are just a few out of the millions of questions that we all ask ourselves and others at some point in life. However, only a few of us decide to take the necessary actions required to reap the life that we feel in our heart is possible.

Why Faith, Purpose, Love?

Faith, Purpose, Love is written to provide valuable insights to those who are eager to experience a fulfilled and powerful life. This book is written based on personal life experiences that became applied wisdom which transformed my life. Whether we say it or not, we all want the best in every area of our lives. We want the best relationships, the best jobs and we want to leave the best legacy behind us when we leave this earth. However, we are living in a world where mediocrity is praised and where what’s popular is more important than what is right. It’s hard for us to tap into our true greatness when all we’re surrounded by is average and unrealized potential. This book is filled with illustrations and excerpts of my life that will help you conquer those cultural limitations and societal manipulations. When we settle to live by the pattern that this world has created and handed to us, we lose our true reason for being here. We only become unstoppable when we understand that it’s only through active faith that we can truly experience our ultimate purpose, which is to live in love.

Why Faith?

Hebrews (11:1) Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen.

Faith because you must believe in something greater than yourself. There must be something wherein your hope lays. For me it is my faith in God. My faith in God gives me the assurance that all things are working together for my good no matter the hardships that may come my way. When life gets hectic and seems unbearable, I have a God that I can rest in. When we truly understand that with God we cannot lose, trials and circumstances won’t easily burden us because we have clarity of an expected end. We must understand that faith affects everything. Faith affects our thoughts, our conversations and our actions. What we believe in is what we think about, talk about and live about. If you'd take a careful introspective look today, you'd realize that the way you're living right now is in perfect alignment to what you've always believed and is believing. Without faith, it would be impossible to stay on course because our inability to see past the present trials would cause temporary circumstances to consume and enslave us. You must believe in the fact that the God that created you has equipped you and can help you accomplish the plan that He has designated just for you!

Why Purpose?

Jeremiah 29:11For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Purpose because your existence is vital to this universe. You were created for a specific audience, but it’s impossible to reach your designated audience if you’re not walking in your purpose. These people will only be able to gravitate to you when you become the purposed you. Your life can become a hindrance to these people or the spark that propels them towards their destiny. You must understand that only you can complete the assignment that you were created to do and failure to do so will affect those that you were created to influence. Truth is, we can appear to be successful without walking in our purpose and oftentimes we can walk in purpose but don’t appear to be successful according to the world’s perspective on success. We must understand that walking in true purpose doesn’t mean that we will become rich, but it means that others will be enriched by our existence. Purpose means that we are obedient to complete the mission that has been entrusted to us by our Creator. On the other hand, the world defines a successful person as one whose bank account is stacked and has all the materialistic things. Most of these individuals appear to be effective, but the reality is that they are
