Derry James-Tannariello, DMIN, BCC founded Chaplain Services at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in the foothills of California. Contributing to over 15 years of hospital ministry, she has effectively trained others in serving. She is Board Certified with the Association of Professional Chaplains. Derry carries a Doctor of Ministry specializing in Christian Counseling, a Masters of Divinity, a MA in Christian Psychology, a BA in Religion, and BS in both Personal Ministries and in Psychology. Derry is a former adjunct professor of the Trinity Bible College and received the VIP Woman of the Year award from the National Association of Professional Women. This compilation is dedicated to those who take God at His word and those who are desirous of finding God in their pain and suffering. May you find hope, peace and courage as you cling to God’s promises and His unfailing love.

When we come to Him in faith, we should believe that we receive, and thank Him that we have received. Then we are to go about our life assured that the blessing God deems best for us will come when we need it most. We can now acquaint ourselves with God, and develop a personal relationship with Him, by personalizing scripture and proving His promises.

Hospital Ministry Help and Deliverance Scriptures

The Bible is an inspiring, encouraging, and reassuring resource when dealing with sickness and suffering. There is power in the Word of God. Albeit we don’t understand, God has a purpose in allowing sickness and suffering. He cares for our needs and carries our burdens. Pain and suffering can lead us closer to God. He answers our Prayer of Faith according to His divine will. He will give sufficient grace for every trial.

Abandonment

Isa 49:15-16 Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me.

Abuse

Zeph. 3:15, 19-20 The LORD has taken away the judgments against you, He has cast out your enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; you shall fear evil no more. Behold, at that time I will deal with all your oppressors. And I will save the lame and gather the outcast, and I will change their shame into praise and renown in all the earth. At that time I will bring you home, at the time when I gather you together; yea, I will make you renowned and praised among all the peoples of the earth, when I restore your fortunes before your eyes, says the LORD. Afflictions

Ex. 3:7-8 And Jehovah said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people... and have heard their cry...for I know their sorrows; so I have come down to deliver them. (ASV)

Isa. 53:4-5 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
