Dr. Liddell served as the MS Depar...view moreDr. Kentrell Liddell has her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Tougaloo College and her Medical Degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Dr. Liddell served as the MS Department of Corrections Chief Medical Officer from 2004 until 2008. She has served on several boards, including the Board of Trustees for the MS Academy of Family Physicians Foundation (MAFPF) and as Chairwoman of the Hinds County Dropout Prevention Committee. She was an active member of Oprah’s Lifeclass audience on March 26, 2012. A member of the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education, Dr. Liddell is well-respected and known nationally and has made many local and national presentations, from Professions Day at local high schools to motivational speeches at churches, to national presentations about healthcare at major Conferences all over the United States. In her free time, Dr. Liddell enjoys writing about faith, topics geared towards orphans and children who may lack one or both parents in the home, and about failure. She was a featured writer at the Black Writers on Tour Conference in Los Angeles, California earlier this year.
