    Shalom!

Every church ministry is, driven by something. In this lively and refreshing book, Pedro Patrick unfurls the profound beauty of Unction and shows how the Bible brightens everything in a way that is happily life-changing bliss.

Anointing is the driven force behind all successful ministries, and the context pages of this book informed great knowledge of this subject, and boldly explains why the Christian world is not enjoying the anointing.

B R E A K THE ALABASTER BOX stresses on the missing nectar of life in our personal life without the Holy Spirit and the author tells us with all force and clarity in simple language, that one could expect from the teaching of the Unction.

The author – Pedro Patrick offers refined wisdom on the heart of the readers what anointing is all about, and it is quite, and obvious the Unction he receives create the action for this book to function.

Pedro Patrick points out that anointing is our Christian spiritual character, our christen epithet in any spiritual warfare and without it no one can be equipped to take action against demons in the same way that Jesus Himself did. Deliverance from evil spirits is the one evidence that shows the world that the kingdom of God has come and from the anointing, it seals that truth.

Pedro Patrick attended Georgia State University Atlanta USA and the Emmaus Bible College and received his Associate diploma from there and from the Bible institute of Living Faith World Out-Reach Ministries (Faith Tabernacle) and Associate diploma from Spanish language Bible course in Spain –La Vida Abundante Sevilla. He served for numbers of years as pastor in prison ministry in Spain and currently the pastor of GOD CHURCH Ministry Int. in Spain.

    Smash it smithereens

Anointing makes you smile, not smell, therefore, release the whiff, and hold not on to anything, that keeps you from holding on to JESUS! Smash it smithereens and let it flow, He is worthy of your best!

    Chapter 1

If a man of God operates a ministry without anointing, and if, the children of the most High, worship God, without a sense of smearing of ointment from the heart, and if, all in all, the congregation of the church, puts up an art of dancing with praises, and no flowing of unction, we will have, all together, something like a composing worship, which does not rhyme with lyrics of spiritual rhythm – It will not flow.

In this book, we will look at the importance of anointing in our daily worshipping lives. Anointing is the essential evidence of God’s power in us, and in the same order, we cannot talk about the subject of anointing without getting into 1John 2:20, 27; because this Bible passages are the only place that the subject of unction is measured in the New Testament which connects to anointing in the Old Testament order. In John 2, it says in verses:

[20] But ye have unction from the Holy 1, and ye know all things.

[27] But the anointing, which ye have received of him, abideth in you and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the anointing teacheth you all things, and is truth, is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

These two passages show that unction and anointing is the same thing. What I have done in this book is to give to you the teachings base on the subject of anointing. The truth of the preceding passages, tells us that the end-time church has a flow of unction that enables them to receive and understand spiritual vibes since in the realm of power, there must be knowledge to enter it, or else we remain outside a prey. I am writing this book because of the feeling of having no power of mine own, and I believe all true Christians feels the same way.

The title of this book is ‘Break the Alabaster box’, which urged us not to cling to the bud vase that keeps us from clinging to Jesus! We must smash it smithereens for exchange for a flow of the anointing! We read in the Bible of a woman called Mary who broke a jar of expensive oil and poured it on the head and on the feet of our LORD Jesus Christ. The deeds of this woman would become a pointing arrow that will lead you to an important spiritual journey that we all are challenged to make. This journey leads me to discover the power in the anointing that I am sharing with you in this book.

It all began in the early part of my ministry that the righteous hand of God was upon me to learn what unction [anointing] entails. For someone who has been through hardship in life and now enjoys the love of God will not find it hard to explain the flow of ecstasy from the anointing.

Anointing from God has no particular way to define it, beside, that it is the pouring of unfelt divine substance in our spirit like a smearing of hot ointment that expands all over our inner beings. Therefore, the wisdom of God in the anointing is not a concrete object with texture that could be, labelled on the physical. However, this book will explain in various truth and circumstances how anointing operates in the church with a circumspect spiritual evidence, stories, history, and many more.

When the anointing begins in our life, it first makes us a different people in the way we reason and we may start seeing ourselves speaking prophetic words that had always been there but eclipse down by crater of ignorance. Anointing brings on the recurring niche to do what God says we should do. The evident of the anointing makes you say things to people that ignite their spirits for hope. The crater gives way for light to ascend from our heart.

Anointing is kingdom mystery for Christian men and women who have been, called from time to time with miraculous ministries to deliver the sick from ignorance of their captors – this call is for you and all members of the Christian family. The heavenly smearing is the power to speak healing utterances to the sick and prophesy the words to the weak, and the results manifesting in healings, prosperities, blessings, successes, spiritual growth and many more other blessings seen in the lives of those who opens to receive. The power in the anointing makes people recognize a fountain of flow and confirms the manifest presence of God in their lives, which encourages them to cling tighter to Jesus, the source of all things. That is the purpose of anointing.

The success of anointing in our lives increases our faith and when faith is strong, we have power to do great exploits. Daily anointing flows afresh when we entrench ourselves deep in the word of life daily. Your body is a vessel to carry all that is divine and as long as you plug yourself to the Word of God, the flows stays afresh. Human faculty can be compare to a vacuum cleaning machine. A vacuum machine, when plug to a power source makes noise and suck up anything on its path, so is human faculty. When you plug yourself in the word, you will suck in knowledge and knowledge is the power to do exploit.

I believe that when we put meditation to work, study the word, and study the life stories of some men who God uses, like Oral Roberts, Billy Graham, Kenneth Hagin, Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Adeboye, and David Yonggi Cho, and many others, how mightily they are anointed to do mighty exploits and how the Holy Spirit uses them to perform wonders in their ministries, we will do extremely well in our ministry. Not only that, but when we find out what people say about them, the anointing part and annoying part of their lives, we will avoid what could constitute a clinging to the bud vase of life that might keep us from God. They are human beings like you and me and definitely prone to make mistakes. Accepting their fault has never been a problem to them and taking a low blow beneath the belt from critics has not stop them from waxing stronger in the Christendom because they understand how to overcome critics of the people by the anointing that wrought in them. If we do not inundate in God like them, we will not get to where they have attained in life. Their ministries have been a great blessing to us and we have entered into their labours of which I am personally grateful. What we could discover about them will help us in our ministry.

I have heard so many things said about anointing but none stand out more than this misconception that when a man of God sweats, it represent a flow of anointing. If you believe this erroneous propaganda, you might also believe flies are a welcome pest in your homes and in our foods, disregarding this warning:

Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour (Ecclesiastes 10:1).

Anointing is, epitomized by sweet-smelling perfume, not by sweat that comes out from men of God. I have actually seen people wiping some men of God with a white handkerchief, believing they have a healing souvenir! Anointing is power, but power is not in perspiration, rather, it is in the inspiration of the Word of God! What you get in a sweat-soaked mantle of anointed man of God is stench not sweet-smelling perfume. When we study the following scripture and compare it to a sweat-soaked handkerchief that we believed will heal ailments, or that we believed will cause blessing to come to us, our mind will overflow with better matters.

    The Word of God says:

The flowers appear on earth; the time of the singing birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land (Song of Solomon 2:12).

Doesn’t that stirs something in your spirit as if you are in a love garden of flowers listening to birds chirping in songs and butterfly perching on the stem of tree of roses? In such environment the leafs of the trees bow down to the cool breeze as it whistle by. I must add that the irresistible whiff of flower with its fragrance of perfume gives an uncontrollable joy to lovers in the garden. How sweet – Sweet as the anointing! Anointing makes you smile not smell.

No wonder God says, I am rose of Sharon and the lily of the valleys confirming His sweet-smelling perfume as symbol of life. Can you feel peace in that kind of environment? Yes, absolutely, you also can feel the wind bursting fresh sweet air into your lung and your spirit brimming with matters and causing the mind to be full of joy. This scenario is the same feeling you get from the unction. Now, put the same thought inside you, as you study the Bible, you will feel the inward flow of a rushing wind whispering in your soul with divine matters, reminding you the power of God in creation. This is what occurs when the anointing falls on you. That is the feelings David had in the field as he took his father’s sheep to graze the grass, and when lions and bears comes, he tore them to pieces. Raw power!

Will you not rather feel the presence of this peace brought by anointing, by being the spiritual singing turtle-dove, than struggling for a sweat-soaked mantle of a man of God? Oh, I rather feel the manifest presence of God than wiping the face of a man of God to collect sweats. The spiritual fact on the principle of anointing, in its vast and deep knowledge, takes you to the realm of understanding in a different dimension. This principle will make you a principal and puts you in the echelon of flow of power.

The ‘voice of the turtledove that is heard singing in our land’ is the pictogram of the Holy Spirit. It takes, also, the form of the church into content, this is because the Holy Spirit does not sing, and in this case, the church is the Spiritual singing turtledove because the dove dwells inside her – the church. The church is you. He is part of your spiritual being because the Spirit dwells inside you. So when you sing praises, the dove is singing inside and your moral fibers ignite in anointing. Then it flows.

The Dove appears in the entire scripture, from Noah to John the Baptist, and his presence during the baptism of Jesus, gives us the spiritual consciousness of the presence of the Holy Spirit in all Christian’s lives, of which, without Him, we remain a mediocre in things of God. Furthermore, the stereotype of the white dove portrays purity and spirit of meekness, sweet and loving Holy Spirit. The awareness of it makes it a symbol of the Holy Spirit in Christian iconography – that is the study of interpretation of content of images.

John the Baptist witnessed a white dove anoint Jesus as he perched upon Jesus Christ (John 1:13). It was after this Jesus was empowered from above to start His earthly ministry. The cooing dove in you makes you coo in praises and gives the heavenly hosts joy. You are that turtle dove in that sense. God wants to hear your voice in praises because our voices lifted in praises and in spiritual songs is sweet to Him and clears way for miracle.

O my dove… let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely (Song of Solomon 2:14 Amplify).

That is God speaking to you!

Here, we begin to see that our praises are channel for anointing. That is why we see some men of God sing before ministering and that stirs inside them unction. David was a singer and gave us the psalms. As our spirit crave the Divine Shepherd, our praises provokes His majesty to descend and touch us as we worship. That is the essence of anointing – to fill your head with the morning dew and your locks with the drops of the night (Song of Solomon. 5:2).

Brethren as you take the journey most of us are taking; I want you to know that one of the cardinal points for the Christians is that within the Bible is all that is necessary for faith to put you on fire for anointing. The believer who knows the scripture and patterns his life by it has found this to be true.

This book has 25 chapters. I strongly urge you to read and underline what you consider helpful. The character of a good reader is that he must underline several lines and that practice helps him absorb good matters. Do not just read what is, passed on to you, interact with it, and make it your book. Rushing over any book betrays our patience. If you are to have a maximum impact from it, do not jump pages or chapters. And as you adhere to that, I see you blessed. Be a doer of the Word for a change of story in your life.

As you read and study what the author teaches in this book, it is essentially necessary you focus on the various areas anointing could be use to improve your Christian life, that way, you connect with it in its divulging flow. There are countless areas anointing is applicable to our lives and I will measure just a few here. There are anointing for preaching the word, if you have been call to send the gospel to the world, you need anointing. The scripture in Isaiah 61:1 says: The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek. Other things the anointing does is to pour smearing upon the weak and to bind up the broken-hearted. The power therein frees the captives from any type of prison of life and relieves spiritual stresses and burdens.

There is also anointing to teach and to know all things (1John 2:20,27), anointing to praise, anointing for deliverance from evil spirits, anointing for financial breakthrough, favour, to break evil yoke (Isaiah 10:27), and anointing for an open doors, ¨THUS SAITH the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the lions of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut (Isaiah 45:1).

So as you study anointing, focus your spirit on what you want God to do for the church, God had promised to divulge anointing which conferred not merely to dislodge the devil out of the church but power as well for prosperity at all levels from poverty. Although, there are various and things anointing does, each use of it depends on what you want in life. What are the major concern in your life? Anointing has the answers to it.

The power of anointing radiate out from a spirit-filled heart and produce ripples - perhaps even a potential tidal wave to flush out provocative spirits to heal the heart. The anointing leads us, step by step, to solve mysterious things that we could not, by human power solve. As you walk into this blissful divine virtue, you are stepping inside the Holy of Holies, in the Eternal City of God.

    INITIATION CLASS

Understanding anointing promises initiation into greater and more profound mysteries - mysteries that connects you directly to all phases of spiritual truth and to know the sphere of the physical, for instance - it makes you know the duality of life and death, good and evil. By reasons of the unction we know all these things. You are a blessed saint indeed.

Exposition to knowledge of anything gives you personal experience, which, if well use, places you in personal union with the divine. Every believers that operates in the realm of divine knowledge is in the anointing. The documented spirit-word of God in your heart establishes you through in life. The Word of God is the guiding and governing principle of the Holy Spirit for your life, thereby, making anointing as the power of God that deifies Jesus in you. Jesus our LORD, right from birth identifies with power, knew power, and nothing less than power. In the Book of Matthew and Mark His last word on the cross are particularly striking: ¨My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me? ¨The anointing power at this time has temporarily give way for redemption work. The lesson here is not far-fetch. God will forsake you if you let the anointing dry on your head and when God forsakes, it affect the anointing.

Jesus last word in these two synopsis is tantamount to: My power, My power, why hast thou forsaken me?

The anointing in the grace is over 2014 years old and still fresh like the first time it was poured on earth at the day of Pentecost. God preserves anointing fresh to replace the manna. The birth of Jesus births anointing that we now enjoy in its flowing course. If history is any thing to teach us spiritual lessons, the Jewish story is history of anointing. In the story of the apocryphal, there is one that documented Jesus infancy.

The story says that when Jesus was circumcised, His foreskin was said to have been appropriated by an unidentified old woman who preserved it in an alabaster box used for oil spikenard. And this is that alabaster box which Mary procured and poured forth the ointment out of it upon the head and the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Whether this story is true or false the author stand neutral to this statement. The intention here is to make you see the hidden mysteries in the anointing oil. If the statements of history of the Jews is true or not, the anointing sure do contains divine properties, which the Christian world agrees to contain the power of God. Here, then, as taught in the New Gospels, anointing is a person not just mere olive oil. It carries the whiff of divinity.

The knowledge of anointing makes you a full fledge god over all mountains of problems. Though, the natural man may see the human attributes in you, but the devil in them sees the God in you.

Living by the Word of God is the simplicity of the anointing that takes precedence over any human attributes and over any external hierarchy found in the physical realm. That means anointing is so powerful that it distinguishes between spirit and flesh, and between love and the law, which is associated with the New Testament and the Old Testament respectively. In the Old it was the law and the olive oil, and in the New, it is love and the Holy Spirit - in symbolic sense is represented by the olive oil.

The olive oil is spiritually use by believers as a divine substance of God’s power and by virtue of enlightenment, we see it as such. Sanctity of believer’s life is not done by mere oil but by our personal effort to sacrifice ourselves on the altar of sacrifice. That is when the oil sanctifies us and burn us for sweet-smelling incense. The symbolic significance of anointing is that God is in you sanctifying you to health, power, strength, joy, and to prosperity. In other words, the power of God exposes you to the spectrum of human experience - exposing you to first-hand knowledge of what you must do to accomplish something you desired from God.

I could not bring this chapter to a finish without saying that in the world today there is an increase of evil propensity and disillusion of mind due to the presence of the devil. There is increasing works of flesh, sins, lost of focus of life and cynicism. But there is also an intensifying quest for knowledge and power, and for something in which genuinely to believe. This have made many to take another spiritual dimension to know and serve God - a very smart choice. There is a longing for Christian world for a renewing sense of the Spirit. In effect, this sense leads us to a full-scale flow of anointing power to keep us in sanctity. A full-scale flow of the anointing in your life leads to a full-scale revival. Revival lands you on the feet of Jesus, and in effect, sates your hunger for spiritual victory.

O you dove of God I welcome you to this cooing bliss.

    Chapter 2

Praises Is the Key to Unlock the Tap

Praise Ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song … let them praise His name in the dance…let the saints be joyful in glory; let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and two-edged sword in the hand; to execute vengeance upon the heathen and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them judgment written; this honour have all his saints (Psalm 149:1–9).

Hallelujah! ( arab1.png ) Praise ye the Lord. Praising God is the essential tool for anointing to cause our inner beings to explode with a gushing of divine experience. It is praises galore in heaven—day and night. And if the will of God is to be done here on earth as it is in heaven, it has to be done through praises. Praises on earth is man’s portion!

In Revelation 5:13, John said: And I heard every created thing in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, crying out together to Him who is seated on the throne and Lamb Praises.

Giving praise is the spiritual catalyst that uproots all spiritual lethargy from our Christian life and produces unction in our spirit to surge for worship. Our cooperation is required for this flow of praise to take place. The process of anointing finds its significance in praises. There is only one way to flow in the anointing — by the intense use of the word. The word stirs divine matters inside us and works it out as power to do that which we sent it to do (Isaiah 55:11 NKJ). All praises we give to God, with words of appreciation from inside us or by means of singing songs of adoration. All are part of devotion and worship.

To work out the power word from inside us means to cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete, which these actions suggest. Unction functions in our spirit by the seed-word of truth to give an expected end, just as rain makes seeds grow into crops or plants and bear fruit. The act of anointing annuls unfruitfulness.

The sea is always full; even when we draw from it, it remains full and complete. The water Word of God takes the shape of the sea in its course in our life, and it is fully complete if we use it for a purpose of life. Just as no one can stop the sea from flowing in its course, no one can stop you from flowing in the anointing – only you can stop yourself from anointing!

When life seems to be gloomy, sing praises; and when the lives of others seen hopeless, tell them about the power of praises. If you want others to know what Christ can do for them, tell them what praises mean in the anointing. And tell them what Jesus Christ has done for you through your praises. The use of God’s Word is synonymous to the use of your anointing. If you do not use your anointing, it will become stale, and that makes you a waster of it! From Scripture, we know that anything given to us and not used breeds worms, becomes foul, and stinks!

In Exodus 16:20, Moses told the children of Israel that none of the manna should be kept until morning. Those who kept it until the next day woke up to the stench of spoiled manna. May you not operate in a stinking unction.

I suggest that if the unction shows up in your spirit, go out and find someone who needs it. Pour it on that person for healing. Let the holiness of your mind be the guide to your spirit for a flow, and it will flow. The Bible tells us what Jesus did with His anointing: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10:38 NKJ).

This very preceding chapter is the bases upon which we use anointing to do exploit in our ministries. From the understanding of anointing, we move by faith, believing, as we go to evangelize or preach the word, or do whatever our hand finds to do. As we do that the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost empowers us with His divinity to do good things, such as healing the sick that are oppressed by the Devil.

In the work of Jesus ministry, it clearly shows the purpose of anointing is to bring health back to the church and restore back to the church all that God has provided at the garden of Eden so that the church will come back to God´s kind of life. The Scripture says Jesus went about doing good works and healing the oppressed. He did not sit on his anointing; doing nothing with it, He went about doing good things with it. Similarly, we must not sit on our anointing of today if actually we are commission to help people back to God. As long as we use this gift, the Lord will preserve it fresh for tomorrow. Remember Christ’s death gives us courage for today and hope for tomorrow. This understanding makes us outstanding when our minds inundate in the Word, because the Word we understand will be the lamp and light that will take us back to God´s kind of life. Understanding that costs nothing and demands nothing is worth nothing in the spiritual realm. The cost of understanding is intensive study of the Word.

    What is double anointing?

When a Christian talks about double portion, we immediately think of anointing for double blessing. There is no such concept. However, God has promised to pour upon us His Spirit, but He has not promised to pour out a double portion anointing on us. One time of pouring is enough for all doubles that you ever needed in the world. His promise is to pour upon you His Spirit, and the advent comes like spiritual shower of rain, spiritual flame of fire, and spiritual smearing of ointment, which in its divulging strength gives us power and all the discernment we needed to grow in the spirit.

Like shower of rain He gives: He shall come to us as the rain, the latter and former rain unto the earth (Hosea 6:2–3).

Like wind and fire it comes rumbling fervently:

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:2–4).

When anointing comes, it makes you are a different person entirely and makes you to receive utterance to speak mystery that only God understands. Spirit has its own language (Jude 20). To be in anointing makes you talk the Word in power without fear. If sound from heaven means power, you are expected to make sound. Humans are producer of sound and every sound we make are for prophetic purpose, therefore, anointing makes you to flow into the supernatural via speaking the word of truth. If no one can understand the sound of the wind, your enemy will not understand you, by your sound shall they flee, in the name of Jesus (John 3:8 emphasized). Take note of the anointed people of God, they talk a lot when they minister - their spirits overflow of good matters that never seem to end, but when they are not ministering, they are like gentle drops of rain harmlessly hitting the roof.

God gives anointing for all phases of prosperity in our ministries.

"Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He
