About this ebook
Tall, sexy, rich and everything in between. Jacob is the sexiest man Ruby-Rae has ever set eyes on. There’s just one problem, she’s married and will not break her vows for this man. But Jacob is not just any man, he’s an assassin, a man who gets what he wants and that includes Ruby-Rae. The mores Ruby-Rae resists, the more he persists. The thing he doesn’t know is that he might be doing her a great big favour.
Ruby-Rae has secrets of her own. Perhaps Jacob is just what she needs, to find the freedom she truly seeks.
Excerpt
Jacob had seen her leave, and was quickly behind her. He told Donald to wait in the bar while he spoke to the woman of his dreams.
She reached the car, but before she could even open the door, his hand was on the door prohibiting her from opening it.
‘What the hell…’
He turned her around and pressed his lips against hers. Ruby-Rae could’ve easily resisted, but his touch weakened her in a second. He put his hand behind her head and brought her closer into him. Once she realised what was happening she pulled away.
‘Stop it!’ She breathed heavily.
‘Is that what you really want?’ he searched her eyes. The lighting in the parking, although dim, was enough for him to see her eyes. ‘The way I see it, you want me to keep touching you.’ He ran his hand up her thigh, weakening her further.
That was true. She liked his touch, and it made her feel a little ashamed, but it was hard to resist the man in front of her. He was just unbelievably sexy. This had never happened to her before. He drew closer and she could feel his warm breath against her lips. His dark hair fell to the front of his face and that just made it impossible for her to reason.
‘I can’t do this,’ she used all her strength to resist him.
He pressed his lips against hers again, she shut her eyes and surrendered to the stranger’s touch for a moment. But as soon as that happened, she came to her senses and pushed him away.
‘Stop it,’ she said breathing heavily.
He smiled and ran his hand down the side of her cheek. ‘I will see you soon.’ He stepped back.

Chapter One
Jacob! Tall dark and handsome! He was a looker. He loved wearing black suits with white shirts. It was his signature look. His dark hair sometimes fell covering his one eye. He was wealthy beyond imagination, but that wealth had come in a way no one would understand. He was well respected by those who knew who he was, but to the ordinary man, no one knew who Jacob Angel was. His last name, Angel was ironic in a way. He was far from an angel, or perhaps he was an angel of death. Death to serve his own purpose, his own needs. Jacob lived for himself and that was it.
He waited in the penthouse suite and helped himself to the whisky that sat on the side of the expensive couch. The lights in the room were dim, just the way he liked them. He took a sip and then looked over at his faithful servant Donald. The man who would take a bullet for him.
‘All set?’ he asked.
Donald nodded. Jacob enjoyed the expensive whisky as he waited for the man who was supposed to return from his dinner back to his suite. Ten minutes later the door opened and in stepped Mr. Blue. Blue wasn’t his real name but that was how Jacob identified his enemies, coding them by colour.
Blue removed his jacket and hung it on the coat hanger and made his way to the living-room area where Jacob sat.
‘Steven,’ said Jacob.
The man froze the moment he noticed Jacob. Jacob took a sip of the whisky with a smile across his face. ‘Have as seat Steven.’ He motioned with his gun. ‘I see you’ve been making deals behind my back.’
Blue sat cautiously on the couch opposite Jacob.
‘I must say this is delicious whisky. Did you request it personally?’
‘What do you want?’ asked the man.
Jacob laughed gently and took another sip of the drink. ‘You were always a direct man. I liked that about you.’ He took another sip. ‘But it seems you’ve decided to join allies with other people behind my back. The story is you’re planning to get rid of me.’ he laughed. ‘The thing is, you can never trust criminals.’
‘What do you want?’ Blue asked again.
‘I think we both know what I want.’
Mr. Blue swallowed back hard.
‘I think we both know that you’re no longer any use to me. You’re no longer any use to the very person you planned to join allies with. So, you’re pretty pointless at the moment.’ He lifted the gun. ‘You are a waste of space sucking in all the precious oxygen of those that need it.
Steven didn’t move an inch.
‘Any last words?’ Jacob pointed the gun at Mr. Blue.
‘Could I have a whisky?’
‘Sure. Donald, pour the man his last whisky.’
Donald moved towards the drinks tray, poured a glass of whisky and handed it over to Mr. Blue
‘Cheers,’ said Jacob.
Mr. Blue raised his glass accepting his fate. He took a sip and appreciated the taste.
‘I’ve always respected you Jacob,’ he said.
‘To a point.’ Jacob drank.
‘It’s not what you think. I was blackmailed.’
‘You know you could’ve come to me, but instead you decided to go against me.’
‘It’s not what you think.’
‘I’m sure it isn’t.’ He emptied the contents of his glass and then stood up. ‘Drink up.’ He pointed the gun directly at him.
‘Please.’
Three shots were fired. The glass fell from Mr. Blue’s grip and his head fell to the side. Jacob shook his head and then turned to Donald. ‘Get Lolita to clean up this mess.’
‘Yes sir.’ Donald was on the phone.
Jacob took one look at the man dead in the couch, then made his way out of the hotel room. He felt no remorse whatsoever. All he felt was a job well done.

Lolita and three women arrived at the hotel dressed in the cleaner uniform the hotel provided to its employees. They made their way to Mr. Blue’s penthouse and began the clean up, and disappear his body.
‘Okay ladies, we only have two hours to clean up this mess,’ said Lolita.
The women understood completely. They’d been doing this for a while now and understood the importance of speed.
Less than two hours later, the room was spotless and the body wheeled out in bin bags. The details of Steven’s whereabouts would be dealt with. No one would be looking for him anytime soon. She gave Jacob a ring.
‘All sorted sir,’ she said.
‘Perfect. Good work as always. You know what to do.’
‘Yes sir.’
The call was immediately ended after that. The black Mercedes drove off.
‘Where to sir?’ asked Donald.
‘How about a
