A marriage of more
Than convenience—
Thank you for
Staying with me,
My dear,
Always through
Thick and thin.
There were times
When we both could
Have given in, but
We chose to hold
Our heads up high
And persevere so we
Could not fail.
God gave us the
Ability to love so
That we could not
Go against Him
After He made
Us the couple that
We’ve become
So pure and true to
The needs of each
Other—no advantage
We could take, for
Love created the
Most important
Part of our lives.

How
Can
You
Be
Anymore
Precious
Than
You
Already
Are?
A
Question
I
Ask
Very
Often
But
Do
Not
Know
The
Answer
To
Because
How
Can
I ask
The
Impossible
And
Demand
An
Answer
That
Even
Makes
Any
Sense?
You
Are
A gift
To
Me,
And
I
Am
Grateful
For
All
The
Time
Which
We
Get
To
Share
And
Hold
Each
Other,
Happily
Proclaiming
That
God
Created
Us
To
Love
And
Live
In
The
World
With
Him
As
Our
Ultimate
Guide.

And I do not
Want to take the
Time to even
Realize
That I am
Doing nothing, and
Nothing is getting
Done in turn.
Which way will
My cheeks burn
When I finally feel
The harsh hand
Of reality slap
Them and make
Me aware that
I should be doing
Something instead
Of wasting away
The hours of each
Day?
I need to do
Something that will
Call for a celebration
In a few
Years’ time; let
Me get on with my
Rhyme!

If I could trick
Myself into thinking
That my task will
Be done soon, I
Could find myself
Sleeping easier at
Night—having
Enough gumption
To get up and
Face the day
Tomorrow, when
The world will reset
To hide the sleep
Depravity in my
Eyes.
Often, too many
People realize that
They are
