Throughout Heartache - Valvin Lee Jeanty
JENSE C. GLORY
Heartbroken
A heart frightened
Becomes words frightened
Calmed to taking such pain
Dare again I say her name
Ever I would try but
Forever her name’s been closed shut
Grazing though in the back of my head
Her name I thought I heard said
I opened a star to the love of my betrothed
Just to leave fallen at Coconut Grove
Keeping me crashing round and round
Love has kept me falling down
Making me question my own heart
Never again could it take part
On a voyage of love and passion
Pieces of me cry asking
Questions of why love has left me
Rashes and scars upon my heart
Sadness of love I thought I caught
Tricks and lies I guess it was
Under disguise as her love
Various touches it used to pretend
Wicked notions of love did offend
Xenon temptress of my soul
Years of loving her left me bitter and cold
Zero becomes my letters falling down to see
Innocence of My Heart
I loved you, when love was new and fresh,
Innocent then… when I could love you my best!
Given to you was a love so pure,
Beginning a gift never showed before.
And to you, I gave my all,
If needed, for you I’d crawl.
And still to this point, I give you my world,
Innocently without difficulty my heart unfurls.
Maitre
I know you’re sad that you broke my heart, like I said you would
I know that you know that you’ve brought me to tears, I’m outside my good
I’m without a volunteering nature these weeks, as I wag my finger
Heartache buries my soul, I’m no good forgetter I’m no good forgiver
You censor yourself and make scarce in lost efforts, you’re sparing me
Or maybe you’re embarrassed as
