About this ebook

This book is dedicated first of all to God, my Father through His Son Jesus, the Risen Christ for inspiring me and gifting me with the talent of writing poetry. I also dedicate this book to my mother who is a positive and strong influence in our lives and in the lives of others God had allowed her to touch; and to my family. This book signifies the events of love, those who were lost during the war and the struggles of relationships whether it is during a marriage or a close relationship with someone special. My goal is to reach out and inspire others to have faith and not give up on love and God will send someone who will love unconditionally, faithfully and truthfully. The words expressed in this book are my true feelings and experiences. I pray everyone reading this book will enjoy and learn how to express their feelings and know they are not the only ones who have experienced the positive and negative effects of being in love.

    We Flow - Sid

    When You Entered My Life

I am not asking time to increase its life span,

But with each morning I am reminded of a love

One that seems to have taken a life time to find.

I love waking up to the mornings

Knowing you are in my life.

It is reassuring to know that someone, somewhere out there really cares about me.

Our love has evolved from one special moment in time.

A time when we were both unfamiliar to the other,

Yet, we share a common denominator,

Deep within, we really wanted to be loved.

To share love, to be in love, to give love.

It seems like such a hopeless request at the time.

It was such a long day, a long moment in time.

    Then one night you appeared,

I didn’t even see you coming.

    You were totally unexpected.

God knew the desires of my heart,

He heard my many nights of tear soaked pillows.

He would not allow me to go another day feeling unloved, unwanted.

Sure, He knew I loved Him with all my heart,

But He saw the need that neither one of us should be alone.

He reached down, dried my tears and whispered a love song in my ear.

That song was the sound of your name

Whose lyrics played and replayed over and over again in my mind.

That sweet name that has me spellbound.

At the end of each day is the beginning of a new day of shared love.

Let the music continue to serenade us throughout all eternity.

The sound of two hearts that beat as one surrounded by the love of Christ.

Make its own tune that becomes familiar to both of us.

    Strength

He constantly tells me how beautiful and sexy I am.

When he sees me through his eyes

Those are the eyes of love,

He sees what I don’t see.

The way he looks at me, with eyes of deep adoration.

A love is built on the foundation of trust.

I love the way you open up to me.

I won’t take advantage of your vulnerability,

    I don’t see it as a weakness,

But a strength that surpasses all love.

You safely open up to me.

You see me like an open book, all my pages are exposed.

I feel you reading my every thought as you touch me, hold me.

I’ve seen you in ways you have never fully seen yourself,

Open and broken down inside that shell.

A being that cries out to be free; to be understood in such a misunderstood world.

To be wrapped and consume into another life where God and love dwell.

Finding that place will give you inner strength,

The strength to love openly and to receive the love you have waited so long to happen.

You possess a force so powerful it gives your mind peace and stability.

You have finally entered your place of total existence.

    Excuse Me

Excuse me while I expound on these thoughts, these feelings

Forgive me for disturbing you this way

But I just got to let you know that I am truly feeling you, right now

I am loving you in ways that have me on a high that is so intoxicating.

Love, real love, true love, an unconditional love.

You make me feel as if my feet are in the clouds.

I am soaring high above any dimension that I have never known.

Your love is so deep and so exciting.

It is so good until I feel tears of gratefulness run down my face.

Tears of joy, tears of happiness and yes, tears of contentment.

    Contentment you ask?

Yes, I am so content with this love that we share.

I have found inner peace in knowing that you are mine and I am yours.

A lifetime commitment that God had put together, the way He intends.

Inspite of my imperfections and my downfalls you love me.

You do not judge me nor make me feel unwanted or less than a woman.

You make me feel special and touch me in ways you can’t begin to imagine.

You inspire me with your words of encouragement.

You enlightened me when you hold me in your arms and let go of your feelings.

No longer are you a man careful with your expressions and actions of love,

But you trust me with those feelings enough to share them with me,

    Enough to let yourself go.

Enough to allow your innermost desires to surface and rest in me.

    I love you.

I want you to feel every beat of my heart when we are away from each other.

I want you to feel the closeness we share that is only a breath away.

Remember the many nights we spend lying next to each other

Wrapped in our moments that are timeless, precious, priceless

Locking the doors to the outside world

For nothing else matters but the moment—our moment.

    You are so beautiful

I am captured by your essence, your warm cherished love.

You are my love, a vital part of who I am.

    Memories Of Yesterday

A simple leaf brings back memories of yesterday.

Leaf drifting in the wind traveling through the air,

Soaring from place to place without a care.

Fall brings golden, reddish, brown colors

    Grass that was once green

Has aged to an almost lifeless state.

The fresh scent of pine in the air.

Animals hurriedly preparing food for the winter months ahead.

Remembering childhood days of yester years.

Wishing for those artifacts left and lost in time.

    Remembering the sweet smell of fall;

Hayrides on a cool crisp night.

Campfires’ warmth that makes the heart glow.

Remembering laughter, what a joyous time.

The full moon lights the sky as it cast shadows on the objects in the night.

I find myself longing for yesterday.

Bring back those memories of a childhood that I hold dear in my mind.

Remembering feather mattresses, wood burning stoves.

If time would only stop and take me back for only a moment.

Take me back to those days.

My heart is yearning for just one more moment in time,

Just a minute better yet, give just one more day.

My heart is lonely, yearning for one more moment in time.

But time keeps on going as my mind takes me back to better days.

But those memories that I hold dear, will not fade within my heart.

    Sleep Well My Fallen Soldiers

Sleep well my fallen soldiers for your war has come to an end:

No more fighting, no more worrying for your place with God is about to begin.

Your weapons have finally been laid to rest.

Your loyalty, your dedication for the
