Chaquon Polanco is married with four children. She was born and raised in the Bronx, NY and has been writing poetry since she was in elementary school. Poetry runs in Chaquon’s family, her mother writes poetry too. Chaquon has the unique ability to write about almost anything that inspires her, even if it’s not her own experience. Chaquon received her Undergraduate and Master’s Degrees from Hunter College. She currently works full-time at Hunter College. Chaquon has always loved to write. She has written several children’s books and is in the process of writing two novels. Her family has always been a great source of support and encouragement. Their strength and encouragement motivate her to fulfill her dreams and make new dreams everyday!
