Chapter 1

Blane sat in the waiting room of Detroit Medical Center, one of the biggest hospitals in downtown Detroit. Curt was in surgery, receiving burn treatment for all the flesh he’d had seared off at the Nall house. He was also having optical surgery done to try and save his vision from the acid that some asshole in black had thrown in his face.

Alex, one of Curt’s team, had called Blane on their way from the house, filling him in on what had gone down. He’d met them at the hospital, sending them to the safe house with Mark so he could calmly take Curt in and do damage control. He’d told Curt’s team to get Mark to the house and get as many gang members there with them to protect the place.
