Shelley Wenger
Shelley Wenger was born in York, Pennsylvania and has never left. She now lives on a small farm in southern York County, with her husband and their two sons, surrounded by the usual menagerie of farm animals and a kitten called Jumper. After she graduated from Susquehannock High School, she went on to Manor College to become a certified Veterinary Technician. She works part-time at a small animal hospital, though she also runs her own freelance business. She enjoys working from home while looking after her children. A writing career was always something that Shelley aspired to, and it was the trials and tribulations of the struggle to raise two boys which gave her the idea for several of her books in the ‘Good Mom’ series. In them she retells stories and yarns about the fun and laughs, the difficulties and the sheer frustration of it all. She also has written several books to help people make money from home. When she has time to relax Shelley likes reading and keeps a scrap book to try to save her memories, as well as her sanity. She also loves to spend time with her family and, not surprisingly with two active boys, they attend a lot of tractor and truck shows together. In the future, Shelley wants to keep writing and, as she spends a lot of time outdoors, she bought a laptop so that she can work outside. And with her children soon to be starting school it should provide her with an opportunity to do just that. Introduction
Welcome to my book: Work From Home: Working Around Children.
My goal in writing all of my Work-From-Home e-books is to help others who want to work from home, whether they want to start their own business or find a company that will pay them to work in the privacy of their own home.
This book is dedicated to helping parents who want to work from home, with their children by their side. Many parents want to raise their children while still feeling like they are contributing to the household.
However, working at home with children can be filled with interruptions. You may have trouble scheduling time for your work, even though all books tell you that this is one of the most important things to do when working from home. We all know that it doesn’t always work that way when you have children. You may plan out your day, only to have to change it because the children need you. You need to be flexible.
You can do it! You just need to be a little more flexible. This book is dedicated to all of those who want to work from home and do it successfully!
My Work-From-Home Journey
My work from home journey started quite a few years ago – about the time that I became a mom.
When my second child was born, he was sick. Going back to work wasn’t an option for quite a while. We
