About this ebook
Getting away from it all is a part of life we all enjoy.
Relaxing on a beach or by a pool, or even exploring a new city and eating out every day for a week is something we all crave. It is something uniquely human and it has become a normal part of life.
But what if you want to take the kids with you?
What if they don’t want to sit around and relax? What if they take every mealtime as an opportunity for a spat, won’t sit still in the car, or just simply misbehave?
Vacationing with Little Ones and Other Thoughts from a (Slightly) Overwhelmed Mom of Two Small Boys is the second book by Shelley Wenger, which takes an often humorous, sometimes irreverent, but always entertaining look at what it means to be a parent and take your kids on vacation.
Filled with stories that each and every one of us can relate to, Vacationing with Little Ones tells it like it really is, with an eclectic mix of brilliant insight, engaging tales and laugh-out-loud moments of clarity and irritation that we have all experienced as parents.

Shelley Wenger
Shelley Wenger was born in York, Pennsylvania and has never left. She now lives on a small farm in southern York County, with her husband and their two sons, surrounded by the usual menagerie of farm animals and a kitten called Jumper. After she graduated from Susquehannock High School, she went on to Manor College to become a certified Veterinary Technician. She works part-time at a small animal hospital, though she also runs her own freelance business. She enjoys working from home while looking after her children. A writing career was always something that Shelley aspired to, and it was the trials and tribulations of the struggle to raise two boys which gave her the idea for several of her books in the ‘Good Mom’ series. In them she retells stories and yarns about the fun and laughs, the difficulties and the sheer frustration of it all. She also has written several books to help people make money from home. When she has time to relax Shelley likes reading and keeps a scrap book to try to save her memories, as well as her sanity. She also loves to spend time with her family and, not surprisingly with two active boys, they attend a lot of tractor and truck shows together. In the future, Shelley wants to keep writing and, as she spends a lot of time outdoors, she bought a laptop so that she can work outside. And with her children soon to be starting school it should provide her with an opportunity to do just that. Introduction
Hello. Let me introduce myself. My name is Shelley and I am one busy (and often overwhelmed) mom. I know that I am not the busiest of moms—everyone is super busy, trying to be the very best mother that they can be.
Mothers wear many hats. Many work outside the home (or inside it, with their children by their side). Many are in charge of their whole house, keep up with the cooking, cleaning, and laundry. We are also in charge of our pets! That doesn’t leave much time for ME time,
though we all deserve a break.
As I said before, I am the mom of two CRAZY boys. They are very active and into everything, though life is getting a little easier as they are getting older!
If you don’t know me from my previous book, I am working hard to keep my boys in line and my house going. I also work outside the home part-time in a busy veterinary office which is what I went to college for.
I also love to write (especially blogging) so I started a business which allows me to provide for my family and work at home with my boys
