About this ebook

Detective James Kelley is investigating the death of Jocelyn Bennett, a gorgeous socialite who was gunned down in a mall parking lot. With a material witness missing and no strong evidence pointing to the perpetrator, Kelley is frustrated.

To take his mind off his stagnating case, he turns to the sexy Alicia. Personal assistant to one of his main suspects, Alicia’s lush, curvy body is the perfect distraction. Willing to accept him in her bed, day or night, Alicia offers hot, dirty, no-strings sex, and lots of it. Turning off his brain for several hours, Kelley focuses all of his attention on the pleasures of the flesh.

Until another body is discovered.

Now, Kelley has two bodies, few suspects, and is on the hunt for conclusive evidence to catch a murderer.

Kelley rolled off Alicia and right out of her apartment the next morning. He left her panting for breath after a string of orgasms, each lasting longer than the one before it. He hoped she wasn’t upset about his abrupt departure. Kelley wasn’t into long goodbyes or making promises he knew he wouldn’t keep.

After stopping at home for a change of clothes and a quick shower, he drove to the station to check his messages and email. With nothing new from the ME, Kelley waited for Paul to arrive. They needed to find Aitkin and they also needed to have another chat with Gwen.

You’re in early, Paul said half an hour later.

I wanted to see if there was anything on the security cameras prior to Mrs. Bennett getting killed. The area where she parked only had one camera in range and the killer clearly knew it was there.

    Nothing useable? Paul asked.

The killer is similar in height to the victim. I’d say she knew her killer though, Kelley said. He motioned Paul over and played the section of video he’d cued up.

See how she’s already leaning into the car to stow her bags? When she pops her head up, she doesn’t look worried or scared.

How can you tell? Paul asked. The feed is grainy and from a distance.
