About this ebook
Others!
Isn't it what first comes to mind when you think of what makes your life miserable?
Well, sorry to break the bad news but, like it or not, these people, relationships and situations are here to help us.
How so? Life sets them right in front of you to make you realize something about yourself.
Something deep, something subtle, some hidden truth about you, food for thoughts and for inner transformation.
That's the whole point of life. And when it happens to you, well, you see it or you don't!
If you don't, it will get back to you, tirelessly, until you understand and transform whatever you have to change.
We always underestimate how much our vision of others may change a given situation.
The point is: we don't have to look outside to find what really makes our life miserable, do we? Why do we always blame what's outside for problems that are inside? So many things, so many feelings, judgments and influences that we cling to, as if life depended on them.

Isn't it what first comes to mind when you think of what makes your life miserable?
Or do you first think about sickness, accidents, lack of money, losing your job, getting old....
What do we usually have to change? Behaviours, reactions, attitudes, thoughts. Oh, and one more thing: our vision of others. And of ourselves!
We always underestimate how much our vision of others may change a given situation.
Take neighbours for instance. Noisy neighbours!
I had some at one point. I tried everything with them. Being nice, being mean, being violent; pleading with them, threatening them, yelling at them.
Nothing worked. Until one day, I said to myself: Who am I to try to impose my way of living to them? So, OK, they go to bed when I wake up. They have a right to live their life. I cannot force them to live the way I do, or the way I want them to. Aside this
minor problem, they are probably very nice and decent people. Proof of that is the great number of friends who come visit them every night, right?! What if I first tried to stop brooding and being always angry at them?
.
It worked! The noise level started to decrease. They went to bed earlier and didn't have so many friends over every night. And after six months... they moved out and were replaced by a new tenant who was very quiet and courteous.
Heaven!
Having said that, the whole idea is to be able to change whatever we have to transform without being submitted to those
