    IT has been my life for the last six years. At seventeen I decided that computer science would be my major in university and ever since, I’ve been working towards a degree, a job, and a future. Too bad so many people just don’t expect to see a strong black woman working with computers, but they’ve always been my life. For work and for fun, I love being online.

    Part of me always imagined I’d meet the man on the other side of the screen. When I started talking to Anaconda23 I thought he was someone like me. You know, a computer enthusiast, a bit nerdy, and of course, black. It turned out I couldn’t have been more wrong, especially about the being black thing.

    I’ve always been a bit of a nerdy girl. I never really told many people in my online world that I was black, most people didn’t understand that I liked to spend my time on the computer and chat with my online friends. Gaming, chatting, blogging, the works, and no one can take that away from me just because of the color of my skin.
