When Matthew’s sudden cool gaze covered me, and he said that he wanted our son, I saw in his eyes that he wasn’t talking about just an occasional visit. He planned to take my son. I sat back pulled my dress down. I would have pulled it to my knees if that were possible. Get out of here, give me some space, and take me home, I shouted. He tilted his head to the side and glanced at me as if he didn’t hear me.
