Fire and Ice (Part 3) - Erica Storm

    Chapter 1: Matthew

I’m aware Nicole may perceive me as cold and with one thing on my mind. She may feel I’m the same boy that she met in high school, with a desire for all and every woman I came into contact with. How can I explain to her that I’m not the same person? I’ve grown. I’ve matured. When I walked into the room and saw Megan standing in front of the bed with Nicole lying there, and Nicole’s big beautiful brown eyes wide and sad, I knew it was over.

There was nothing I could say are do to cover the deception of not revealing to her that I had married. And to Megan of all people. I don’t consider myself married. I haven’t had a marriage from the day I said I do. She only wanted to be my wife to satisfy her sick selfish idea that she had married the bad boy of Sea Cliff high school. When we were in school then, I wouldn’t as much as look at Megan. She was spoiled, cruel, and abusive then to all the girls I talked to.

Even though I had nothing to do with the majority of girls in our class, Megan would get their cell numbers, text them over and over, saying that I posted nude pictures of them on the internet and sent pictures to my buddies. Before they would listen to me, they believed her because they thought I was that kind of guy. She got rid of most of the girls I thought I liked. But she knew at some point that Nicole detested me and so she never bothered concentrating on her.

When Megan found out that I had asked Nicole to a party, and we never showed, she was determined to derail that. It just so happened that Nicole disappeared out of my life, and just recently came back, and I can’t let her go again. I have to find some way to keep her but after she found out about my marriage, she is through with me. I can read it in those amber eyes, begging me to say it’s just not so, that I would marry a woman like Megan.

I thought I could change her mind when I used sex to lure her back into my bed. She had succumbed to me, but then, I guess reality took hold, and she rejected me.

I have to go to this dinner tonight for
