Women, when compared to men, often bear twice the burden with modernization. Once upon a time, the roles of a man and women were clearly identified. The man was the provider and the woman the homemaker. Each one had to focus on just one aspect of building the family. Today, the roles of men and women, merge into a murky grey color. Both partners need to find time to build their career as well as take care of their family.

Earlier, women were the center of the home. Women were responsible for seeing that her family was looked after and comfortable in every aspect. Gradually, added to the role of homemaker was the role of bread winner, contributing to the family income by working shoulder to shoulder with men.

Having a career and homemaking are both full time jobs. To be good at both, women need to work doubly as hard as men in both areas. This put tremendous stress on their minds and bodies.
