Cenni Biografici
Steven Paul Jobs nasce il 24 febbraio 1955 a Green Bay, California da Joanne Carole Schieble e Abdulfattah John
Jandali, i quali, essendo ancora giovani studenti universitari, lo danno in adozione quando è ancora in fasce; Steve viene adottato da Paul e Clara Jobs, della Santa Clara Valley, sempre in California. Qui trascorre un'infanzia felice, insieme alla sorella adottiva minore Mona e prosegue senza particolari problemi, denotando brillanti capacità scientifiche nel suo iter scolastico; si diploma a 17 anni (1972) alla Homestead High School di Cupertino, paese che diventerà il terreno dei quartieri generali della sua creatura futura: la Apple.
Nello stesso anno Steve Jobs si iscrive al Reed College di Portland, specialmente per rivolgere l'attenzione alla sua principale passione, l'informatica, ma la via accademica non viene percorsa per molto tempo: dopo un semestre abbandona l'università ed inizia a lavorare in Atari come programmatore di videogames, perlomeno fino a quando raggiunge il denaro necessario per poter partire per un viaggio verso l'India.
Al ritorno, nel 1974, coinvolge il suo ex compagno di liceo e caro amico Steve Wozniak (con il quale faceva parte dell'Homebrew Computer Club - un gruppo di appassionati di informatica che si ritrovava nel garage di Gordon French, a Menlo Park nella futura Silicon Valley) nella fondazione di Apple Computer, società del tutto artigianale: con la mela
i due muovono i primi passi verso la fama nel mondo dell'informatica, grazie ai loro modelli di microcomputer particolarmente avanzati e stabili, Apple II e Apple Macintosh; il costo iniziale viene sostenuto vendendo alcuni beni personali dei due fondatori, quali la macchina di Jobs e il calcolatore scientifico di Wozniak.
Ma la via per la fama spesso non si rivela tutta in piano e nemmeno facile da percorrere: Wozniak ha un incidente aereo nel 1983, dal quale si salva non senza ferite, ma sceglie di lasciare Apple per vivere la sua vita in altro modo; nello stesso anno Jobs convince John Sculley, presidente della Pepsi, a unirsi a lui: questa mossa gli sarà fatale poiché a seguito dell'insuccesso di Apple III nel 1985, Steve Jobs viene estromesso dal consiglio di amministrazione di Apple.
Jobs non si perde però d'animo e fonda la NeXT Computer con l'obiettivo di creare una nuova rivoluzione tecnologica. Nel 1986 compra la Pixar dalla
