About this ebook
Keep Sharp is a comprehensive reference on cognitive dysfunction illness in all forms, including dementia, written by Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Learn about prevention, treatment, and coping skills. This is a summary book meant to complement, not replace.
Gupta embarked on a worldwide mission to collect and study how physicians address brain function and cognitive issues. He has amassed an outstanding cast of personalities and tales from his efforts.
Keep Sharp is a two-in-one resource for popular science and medical advice that appeals to readers. Even though avoiding medical jargon is hard in the case of cognitive disorder, Gupta presents us with a simple, entertaining, and captivating tale centered on one of the most complicated things we are aware of—the human brain. By defining his words straight away, the reader has all they need to comprehend and act. The reader understands the impact of our physical and mental activity on our brains. A common topic is improving one's cognitive abilities through medically proven approaches to help avoid Alzheimer's disease.
If you want to stay sharp, you should read Keep Sharp.
You want to know how to maintain your brain — and your body — fit and healthy.
You are experiencing or have been diagnosed with cognitive decline.
You have a family member who suffers from cognitive dysfunction, or you care for someone who suffers from it.
You want to build a support system.
Dr. Gupta crafted his narrative's material with lots of advice for folks experiencing dementia's early stages. He wraps his arm around the reader and informs them how to seek the treatment they need, receive a good diagnosis, and deal with the most serious side effects.
In the last chapter, Gupta compiles useful information to help persons who have been diagnosed with dementia. His approach is basic and realistic, yet he mixes it with the empathy and understanding that only a competent doctor can provide. His purpose was to raise awareness of Alzheimer's disease, its importance, obstacles, and potential remedies to a wider audience.
This book is not meant to be used as a source of medical advice. Consult your doctor if you have any health issues. It is intended to supplement, not replace, Dr. Gupta's book.
