How many critical opportunities have been postponed until tomorrow, and then forever, since the wine cup has pushed the system into a state of lassitude, neutralizing the vital energies required for economic success? Wine is a mocker, as they say. The usage of intoxicating substances as a beverage is as much of an obsession as the Chinese smoking of opium, and the former is just as damaging to a businessman's success as the latter.

It is an unmitigated evil that cannot be justified in terms of philosophy, religion, or common sense. It is the root of almost all other issues in our country.
