About this ebook

Lila and the Whispering Warlords have moved on to Australia, thinking the woman who had been stalking Lila is still in jail in Chile. But when it turns out she isn't, and she does far more than simply threaten, will Lila and Cooper decide their relationship is potentially worth their lives?

This 10,000 word title is the third and final instalment of the Rocked by Romance trilogy. Here's an excerpt:

I had to admit, I was touched. To think that this man, this sexy rockstar, actually cared so much about me was almost unbelievable. After all, I was just a small town girl from a town south of Chicago. I wrapped my arms around him.

“Thanks Cooper,” I told him. “I promise you, I’m safe. I have three bodyguards, and I spend almost all of my time either in the hotel or traveling with you guys. You don’t need to worry about me, just worry about taking care of yourself.”

“Ohhh, I always take care of you” Cooper told me with a wink, kissing me lightly on the lips. I closed my eyes to enjoy the sensations of his lips on mine, the familiar taste of his mouth still one of the most desirable things in my life.

Before I got the chance to savour his taste, however, Cooper moved his mouth away from mine and began to slide down my neck. I leaned my head back, giving him better access to my soft skin as he slid down further, finding my breasts.

Cooper’s hot mouth on my nipples felt incredible. A small moan escaped my lips, pleasure radiating through my body as his tongue tweaked my nipple, teasing me.

Then Cooper slid his mouth further down my body once more, over my stomach, which quivered slightly with excitement, before he finally nestled himself in between my legs.

I could feel the excitement burning inside of me. I knew what was coming, and the anticipation was almost more than I could bear. Slowly, ever so slowly, Cooper’s tongue darted out of his mouth and found the folds of my sex.

It had been two weeks since Cooper had been released from the hospital after being shot. I continued on tour with the whispering warlords, although things have definitely changed. Both Cooper’s movements and my own were now carefully replaced by multiple bodyguards, and our interaction with the public was extremely limited.

The paparazzi had found out what had happened of course, and it was all over every gossip magazine in America and Australia. The woman who had shot Cooper, and who had been threatening me, was still out there. Despite the large number of people who had seen the altercation between her and Cooper, nobody had given a very clear, consistent idea as to what she looked like. As a result, the police told Cooper that the chances of them finding her were slim. They had asked the Chilean authorities for the photo that they took of her, but when we left Melbourne had not yet received a reply.

We had moved on from Melbourne, had gone to Sydney, Adelaide and Perth, and now found ourselves in Brisbane. What I saw of the city from my hotel room looks beautiful, but I never actually went out and explored. One unfortunate consequence of the events that had happened was that I was finding myself getting more and more paranoid. Sure, I had my bodyguards. Instead of just Michael watching me now, more guards had been hired, and there are now three men who had all been trained in various security forces watching my every move.

Still, I couldn’t help but think of how easy it must be for that women to pull out a gun and to shoot somebody. Every time I had to go out, I was finding my heartbeat rising, my breaths coming faster, my hair standing on end slightly and a general feeling of unease.

So, unlike Cooper, I had the luxury of being able to stay indoors nearly all the time. I knew this wasn’t a realistic option in the long-term, and the chances were was going to have to see somebody about this problem, but for now spending all of my time in my hotel room made me feel safe.

What worried me even more than my own problems, was the fact that Cooper himself didn’t seem to be coping as well as I thought he would. He never mentioned anything, never told me anything was wrong, but I could just tell. After all, I’d spend nearly every waking moment (and some non-waking) with the man, and
