About this ebook

Billy and Travis loaded up their Honda 750 and left their run down trailers to the landlord for back rent due. It's no longer feasible to stay in Georgia, neither one has worked for over a year. They were starving, and could not last much longer. It was time for change. They landed a small Carpenter job to give them enough money to start their journey. Along the way in search of work, they meet like minded people in dire need such as themselves. The year is 2017 and the bottom fell out of the economy, crime was the new law of the land, no police. The criminals use whatever force, necessary to survive.
Under constant attacks, they were losing their battle to survive, until they form a brotherhood with the Cherokee Nation, which results in a combined force with Billy's new group of people and the Cherokee Indians. A force the townspeople have never seen. The ferocity of their combined group is unmatched.

    BILLY, IT’S TIME

The date today is June 5, 2017. Throughout the world wars continued. But many countries, including the USA, no longer help to solve world problems. America has too many problems of its own. China crashed the world economy a long time ago, and since then, many countries have not been able to recover from the loss of industry.

Unemployment is at fifty percent, and the people who have jobs. Have to fight to keep them. Crime is higher than ever, and gangs are sprouting up everywhere. Local Governments, no longer have the large budgets they once had, and there are fewer taxes paid. Most of the available jobs are within local Government, but with all the downsizing, soon not enough police to do any good. The criminals will decide the new law of the land.

Billy and I worked for a shock absorber company in Georgia for four years. During that time, we became close friends. We were both married at the time, but neither of us had a good marriage. I had a son in my marriage who was not mine by birth. My wife Carla had married before, and her ex-husband was the birth father. When Carla and I went our separate ways, she gave her son back to her ex-husband." The boy was more than happy to leave his mother for his real father. He was a good kid, only twelve when he went back to his dad. We got along well together, but when his mother was around, she made everyone’s life hell.

Billy went home early one day from work. Someone was injured during his shift in the factory. Billy’s section made the coil springs for heavy-duty shocks, and I tested the shocks for quality control in my section. When Billy arrived home, it was ten’ o’clock in the morning. He caught his wife in bed with another man. Billy grabbed the baseball bat near his bed and smashed the man in the back, and broke his wife’s arm."

Neighbors heard the noise. They called the police, and an ambulance. One man dragged Billy out of the house before he killed someone. The man from the ambulance crew said the cheater’s back was probably broken, and the wife's arm was definitely broken.

The police department did not haul Billy away. They said the man he beat and his wife deserved what happened to them. If anyone tried to press charges, the police said he saw the man, and Billy’s wife, attack Billy with a knife, when he arrived on the scene. Georgia is not fond of anyone having sex with a married man's wife. He was lucky he was not shot and killed - or stabbed to death.

Saturday morning came and Billy stopped by my house with a box of donuts and a thermos full of fresh coffee. I asked him where he got the money for the food. He told me he did some carpentry work for a doctor, and he needed my help Monday morning to fix some doors and do a little work on his cabinets. The pay would be about 200 dollars-a little pocket change. Neither one of us have worked for over a year. With no more unemployment insurance and no jobs anywhere, Billy was lucky to get work at the Doctor's house. Billy’s friend recommended him to the Doctor. That is how he got the job, which does not pay a lot of money, but anything helps.

Billy and I live within walking distance from each other. We both live in a run-down trailer park. That is what we call home, if you want to call it that. It is more like a sardine can. Travis, Billy said, We are both in our mid-thirties. Things for the both of us have not gone well for a long time. I have an idea. Why not do something different. We are not getting anywhere staying in this trailer park. If we are lucky, we get an odd job here and there."

    "Neither one of us has
