About this ebook
02:00 Tuesday; Jones found the Black Suburban lying on its side in flames, puddles of blood dripped out from the interior coloring the street red. Jordan had his men check for wounded, no bodies found inside or outside of the Vehicle. Jones started a search to try to find Clancy and his men, their truck was hit with an RPG-7, the way it was torn apart. Jordan could see where shrapnel blasted the interior of the Suburban but the bodies? Where were they? Jones said, “A million cuss words in his head and cussed Clancy for risking the lives of his men and himself.”
The temperatures were dropping and Jones knew that 45 degrees Fahrenheit would be a good guess. He saw the surrounding buildings that covered the area and for the age of the buildings, many were less than ten-years-old. They were falling apart mortar falling off the walls and blocks exposed, the lights were burnt out or not turned on at many of the houses.

Tears from Kabul Book 2 - Michael P Buckley
02:00 Tuesday; Jones found the Black Suburban lying on its side in flames, puddles of blood dripped out from the interior coloring the street red. Jordan had his men check for wounded, no bodies found inside or outside of the Vehicle. Jones started a search to try to find Clancy and his men, their truck was hit with an RPG-7, the way it was torn apart. Jordan could see where shrapnel blasted the interior of the Suburban but the bodies? Where were they? Jones said, A million cuss words in his head and cussed Clancy for risking the lives of his men and himself.
The street lights were on and if they had a shooter on a rooftop, all he had to do is knock out a light and no one would see him. Jones had infrared night vision devices, which would pick up the heat signatures of anyone hidden on a rooftop, of course, he had to wear the goggles and look through the scopes for them to work.
The buildings ranged from one to three storeys and the Taliban could use them for a lookout or for a nice place to set up a sniper or a RPG-7 and aim it right at Jones task force. Nahser could use anyone of the houses. Nahser had the city at his disposal and Jones had a severe handicap against Nahser for the sole reason Nahser knew Kabul like the back of his hand.
He used fear and intimidation tactics to get what he wanted from the people. If they chose not to comply, Nahser would kill or torture them.
Clancy was the only damn friend Jones had on the planet and it looks like he just went and killed his damn shelve. He wondered how in the world, Clancy thought he could get the boy back all by himself.
Jones and Jordan drove around for another three hours all over the city and they could not find Clancy or his men, they were dead or the Taliban captured them, one or the other.
Jordan screamed for Jones to stop the damn truck and get the hell out now. They had a rocket heading their way in a few seconds from a rooftop; a member of the Taliban had their Suburban in his sights. Jones and the men just made it out with their lives before the Suburban exploded, and turned into a huge fireball.
Jordan got on the radio and called for a rescue by his SF team, they told him no location was needed they saw the fireball and would be there in less than two minutes. They had their sniper all ready setting up to get rid of the RPG-7 on the roof.
Nahser had brought in many more reinforcements and they were trying to take over the city. They no longer were content with stopping the women’s education they wanted control of all of Kabul.
General Carmichael called up Jones with a report from the Air Force. The MC-12W spy plane picked up movement. They got him! Nahser screwed up and the AF picked up his movement on camera. The GPS coordinate would follow their conversation. The General wanted Jones and Jordan to pick up more men from Jordan’s people and go get Nahser. He would send in an immediate reaction force with working dogs to help locate Clancy and his men.
First SGT Jordan a few minutes later had ten additional men and this time they had two mraps with 50 cal machineguns. The element of surprise was gone an Nahser knew he screwed up by the way he was running when the spy planes caught him and seven other people. The infrared sensors picked up eight peoples heat signature and they were running before they left in two vehicles.
Jones asked Jordan if he was ready to move out and get Nahser
Jordan told Jones, don’t let the door hit you in the ass when you load up into the mrap, Jones let’s go get the son of a bitch before he disappears again,
Jordan said.
The driver punched in the coordinates on the GPS in the mrap and they were on their way. Three minutes later a rocket exploded on the protective wire sending fragments to the machine-gunner. The gunner would live but he would require plastic surgery and a trip to the German hospital, his face was messed up pretty bad and his shoulder took a few pieces of shrapnel from the self- propelled grenade from the RPG-7.
