US Army Staff Sgt Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Hamilton had done two tours of duty and was now in a team that assisted the Pentagon, while his wife Crystal, 29, was a recovery coordinator for wounded Marines.
Crystal was a naturally empathetic person who brought comfort to those she met, so she was a natural when it came to caring for military personnel and their families.
