Chapter 1

Amanda was straightening up a few of the videos on the shelves when she heard the familiar ringing sound: another customer had walked in. She smiled. Business hadn't been all that slow this evening, what with the steady flow of customers ever since she clocked in, but at the same time, she was hoping it would be busier.

She looked over towards the corridor around which she knew that her incoming customer or customers would arrive. She didn't hear the sounds of anyone talking, but that didn't mean anything. She glanced upwards at the concave mirror on the ceiling that allowed her to see nearly the entire store at once and saw a girl, around about her own age, walking slowly around the corner.

Amanda chuckled silently. She's embarrassed. Guys don't seem to have as much trouble coming into places like these, but the girls, sometimes they walked in like a condemned person walking down the last mile to their execution.

Amanda paused for a moment, remembering her first time coming through that door. This customer's not all that different from how she felt her first time. Why should pleasure be such a taboo among otherwise rational, educated women?

The customer finally lifted her gaze to something higher
