Mother's milk really is a magic food source. When you add up all of the advantages, it is difficult to dispute. What other form of nutrition, either for newborns or for adults for that matter, has the ability to provide the perfect amount of ingredients for optimum development, can readjust those combinations of nutrients magically, depending on the needs of the infant, and leads to an instant and loving bond between mother and child?

What other food increases the intellect, instantly boosts immunity, cuts down on sickness and long range illness, and actually increases endorphins for increased happiness in both mother and child? Breast feeding allows you to eat more calories per day, while also aids in getting rid of the pregnancy weight.

You may have to watch what you eat, or wait a bit longer before hitting the gym, but is that really so horrible when you consider the alternatives? You will get tired, but as a new mother, that is going to happen whether you breastfeed or not, until you get used to your new routine. A positive mental outlook is always required when change occurs in life, and breastfeeding is no different. Your ability to rise above depression will be drastically increased as you realize more and more every day that the nourishment that you are providing your newborn infant is a true gift that only a mother can give.
