What is child abuse? What are the different types of child abuse?
Child abuse is any deliberate act that is detrimental to the child’s physical or psychological health, both in the short term and in the long term.
There are four types of abuse:
Physical Abuse: is any deliberate act that results in physical harm to the child, whether this harm leaves clear marks on the child’s body or not.
Sexual Assault: is the exploitation of the child in order to satisfy sexual desires of another person whether an adult or an adolescent. This includes exposing the child to sexual behavior such as sexual molestation
