Heartwarming and funny. This book had me laughing out loud and on the verge of tears. Awesome read.

I had read the prequel novella to this series many months ago, so I was really looking forward to connecting with the Johnson family again.

I adored this book featuring a single dad who is dealing with the grief of losing his wife in an accident 18 months ago and a second grade teacher that lost her mother 4 months ago. The challenges that coming with losing a loved one is dealt with in a compassionate manner.

Although the book touches on heavier subjects, it is still packed with humor. We get a double meet cute here! I love those. The family text threads are another highlight. I really enjoyed all aspects of this book.

I thank the author and Netgalley for the complimentary copy of the book and am happy to leave an honest review.

One thing that is unique about the audio for this series is that the male and female narrators read all the dialog for the characters of their respective gender. It's a fun spin to the story.
