Emma St Clair does it again! A sweet, small town rom com with a host of adorable hockey players and a classic slightly awkward heroine we can all relate to. Closed door romance (no spice).

This was probably my least favorite book from Emma St. Clair. The first half was too spicy - so many comments about physical attraction made me actually say yuck. Her other books are so much more tastefully done even the ones without the strong Christian themes- which I also miss. It just missed the mark for the first half to three quarters of the book. Lots of filler about physical attraction and horny teenager vibe without a lot of substance. The last bit of the book was better but I had to push through to get to it and I honestly would not have if I didn’t already like Emma St. Clair.

Female narrator is a great actress. Her male parts were so so but the female parts were good but a bit breathy.

Male narrator was alright.

This was so good! A really well written, cute and funny romcom. Emma St. Clair’s books have the perfect amount of sizzle without being explicit. The almost-kissing scene had me swoooning. (Very well narrated as well, by both characters).
