About this audiobook

★★★★★ “This book is packed full of awesomeness! Supernatural academy? Check. A girl who feels like she doesn't belong? Check. Sexy, mysterious boy? Check. And alllll the secrets, twists, and turns to keep you flipping pages. You don't want to miss this one!” ~Liza Street, USAT Bestselling Author

How the heck did I get into a freaking supernatural academy with no powers

My entire life changed the day a mysterious packet showed up with an acceptance letter to the Windhaven Academy—a fancy school for supernatural kids.

Just one problem. I don't have any supernatural powers.

As if this wasn't enough of a problem, I met a dark, brooding, and totally handsome stranger in the cemetery. I'd be lying if there wasn't some serious chemistry between us. He just sorta gets me.

Now, both of us want to know what magical abilities I might have. But if I attend Windhaven Academy, it'll mean staying with my estranged father in his creepy ancestral home, and I'm pretty sure it's haunted.

The last time I was there, I barely made it out alive.

*PLEASE BE ADVISED: This is a YA+ academy / witches series. It’s labeled YA(+) for stronger language and some mature situations. As the heroine ages and grows, so does the content of the stories.*

If you loved KF Breene's series, Demigods of San Francisco, or EE Holmes's Gateway Trilogy, you'll fall for this completed, hauntingly good series!

I enjoyed the story but it was really quite slow and i didn't like the mc's boyfriend. As far as the recording the woman's narration is half decent but it's like the unedited version as it has many instances where she has had to repeat herself, not whole sentences but the first couple of words. The ending is intriguing so i will try book two but it's a book for when you're bored and can't find interesting alternatives. Also, the sound between chapters are great at drawing you Out of the story, it would be far better without the noise and long gap between each chapter.

The narrator is fine, the book plot is alright it's the chapter change sounds that are distracting from the book and it gets annoying after the first few

I feel like the story is interesting, it's not horribly written by it was still a struggle getting through it. Hearing the love interest call the MC "woman" constantly was irritating and i felt like it was just a little silly at times.

Just a ridiculous story… sorry but not remotely consistent throughout. The characters are shallow and one dimensional. Seems written by a child.

I couldn’t keep going. Typical hero set up: unlikely hero encounters obstacle (not having magic but got accepted to magic school), meets mysterious handsome guy, finds herself, blah blah blah.

The story kept me interested and was pretty good, I’ll definitely be listening to the next book to see what happens.
The only thing that was a little annoying was the narration was ok, just wish there was a bit more of a voice change between characters, it was a little hard to know who was speaking at time as everyone sounded the same. But you get a bit use to it.
The story was good so luckily that kept me going.
