I disliked brooke. Her personality just rubbed me the wrong way. She has no respect For dex and his family all because she wants to be seen as a strong, independent woman. So for the sake of her pride, she disrespects everybody around her I don't like her. I did not enjoy this book.

This book was pretty disappointing. I really liked the main idea of Brooke looking for her father in the motorcycle club. The characters, especially the motorcycle club people, seemed to try too hard to prove that they rough and uncouth. It's pretty much accepted that there will be a lot of foul language in this kind of book, but it didn't ring true.

Always great writing by JSJ but these 2 characters are probably not my fav. Brooke is too overbearing for me. Her tough exterior was actually offputting. Appreciate strong frmale caharcters and the other women in this series all had their own ttpe of strength but Brooke, ya, she's short of a GI Jane type and its not believeable a man of a biker club would pair up with the likes of her personality. So its only a 2 or 2.5 star for me.

Narrators were great as always.
