Wounded Kiss is a super steamy and easy shifter story to read.

I didn't gel much with the narrators but I loved the dynamic between the group and the different concept to the shifter world. Willow Winters writes very dominant and alpha males which is carried out in all aspects of the males personality. It definitely sets the tone for the whole series but sometimes it was just too much and too cringe. I loved the different POVs and I can't wait to see where book two leads but I don't think I'll be in a hurry to pick it up.

Super mindless book that reads a lot like a poorly planned dark Twilight fanfiction from the early 2000s. The alpha-male type werewolves who are incapable of speaking simple sentences and discussing things rationally were both hilariously bad and infuriating. The female characters were kidnapped and rightfully frantic/afraid and pretty much interchangeable. The smut was decent enough though the author did make the questionable choice of referring to the ass as "my forbidden ring"... so if you read it purely for erotica maybe 1.5⭐
