About this audiobook

Dead alien walking...

Ruwen NaNaran knows he's a goner. The curse of his alien species has put a countdown on his life, and he'll be dead before the month is out. Unless he finds his denya, the only woman in the universe who can save him.

Down on her luck and lost in space...

Lis Jaynx just wants to go home. Kidnapped from Earth by unknown foes, she's dropped on a inhospitable planet with little food and no hope. She'll do anything to find a ship to take her back to Earth, but Polai is hostile to all alien life, and Lis is running out of places to hide.

An unexpected chance...

From the moment he sees her, Ru knows Lis is his denya. But she's already wounded and distrustful of aliens, even those who claim they want to help.

Will the explosive chemistry between them be enough to topple Lis's fears? Or will their bond break before it even forms, leaving Ru a dead alien walking and Lis all alone in the black of space.

Ruwen is the first book in the Mated to the Alien series. Detyens are doomed to die at the age of thirty if they don't find their fated mates in time. The series can be read in any order and there are no cliffhangers! Enjoy fated mates, steamy alphas, and plenty of space adventures.

Entertaining, fast spaced story. I love the way Kate Rudolph writes, there's always lots of humour, sexy scenes as well as an interesting story. Perfect to relax and listen to while the rain storms outside.
The narrator was adorable with a cute little lisp that had me smiling. I'm looking forward to listening to more of this series.

I actually liked this story of course being that it was an audiobook, might have made the difference. So, like the typical alien romance, a human woman is kidnapped. Do I wish it was something original? Yes, but how else are we going to get to space? Anyway, she's dropped on a planet that is not friendly to humans and ends up almost dehydrated and starving to death trying to hide from them. Ruwen is a mercenary and is sent to complete a job on the same planet. He finds the human, Lis, hiding in a closet and POOF… instant connection. Seriously though, I love how in the paranormal and sci Fi romances they know almost immediately who their supposed to be with forever, it cuts out the b.s. And you can get in with the story. I wish life were like this. What I love about this story is that Lis is not a damsel in any form… she was a bounty hunter so she knows how to take care of herself… On Earth. She's willing to do whatever to get home. The story becomes sort of a slow burn but it's kind of understandable why. The two end up spending a lot of time fighting and running from others so there's a lot of action. Good start to the series. Not bad at all.
