About this audiobook

No one knows what happens up at Midnight Manor.

The home of the Voss brothers sits like a sentinel looking down on our small town, remaining a mystery. The four brooding billionaires rarely leave the confines of the iron gates, fueling rumors that have existed for decades.

When my father dies, all the security I’ve known is ripped away, forcing me to come face to face with the eldest brother, Asher Voss. His outward beauty is just as I’d heard—it belies a predatory nature, irresistibly drawing me in.

A bargain is made, and I have no choice but to live in the shadowy confines of his gothic manor to save my family. As time passes, it becomes harder and harder to deny our attraction.

Asher Voss might be too old for me, and he’s definitely cursed by his own demons, but an inferno of passion between us threatens to either consume or destroy us both.

MOONLIT THORNS is a dark contemporary romance Beauty and the Beast retelling.

I hold true to the thought process of, “if these two write it, I’ll read it.” And I’ve never been so excited to see this book drop on my kindle.

Annabelle Bordeaux has made it her life’s mission to get out of her small hometown of Magnolia Bend. But when her family unexpectedly loses her father, she is forced to return home to try to help save her family estate. But little did she know, one quick trip to try to find answers leaves her making a deal with the devil.

Asher Voss is the eldest of the elusive Voss brothers. Billionaire brothers with strong alpha personalities, mysterious pasts, & questionable business connections. Midnight Manor has been his residence all of his life & it sits on the outskirts of the quaint town of Magnolia Bend. He’s a devoted brother, a protector, but a crude businessman, and has the general disposition of a bear. And when the sweet and innocent come knocking at his door, he finds himself in a precarious position that he never thought was possible.

Despite Asher feeling completely drawn to Annabelle, she is far too young to entertain. But, the chemistry they possess is so intensely charged that even the simplest of phrases as Asher tries to intimidate Annabelle induces literal chills. I loved watching Asher completely transform into the man Annabelle has always needed, and watching Annabelle’s growth as she slowly finds her place in the opulent world of the Voss men.

The linear comparisons to Beauty & the Beast were perfect, intriguing, and nostalgic. Annabelle’s sunny bookworm disposition was a perfect match for Asher’s beastly temperament. Her ability to easily fall into line with the others on the house staff, yet possess a uniquely inquisitive behavior that kept her in the forefront of Asher’s mind. And the rose bush, oh my, that rose bush was special & the perfect touch. It was almost a character in and of itself. And we can’t go without mentioning the library…what would Belle be without the library. But even with all of these comparisons, this book had aspects that were so consuming & intriguing that had me refusing to put the book down & begging for more.

I have a feeling there were so many Easter eggs revolving around the other Voss brothers & I cannot wait to get their stories. But can I just express…the way I squealed when I read Mr. Smith…he has me so invested in his story that doesn’t even exist. And as for P Rayne overall…gothic fairytale retelling for an epic win!

    Audiobook Review:
Oh my word, if two people were ever made for a character roll, it’s these two. I swear to you that Asher Voss’s character was written exclusively for Marcio Catalano. And Annabelle’s character, with her sweet southern disposition, was captured perfectly by Rose Dioro.
