- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a fun story of mystery, thrills, lies, and escape (both literally and figuratively) and I really enjoyed it. I'm sure it's not a super original plot, but to me it was and I enjoyed how the story unfolded and how it kept you guessing for a bit as to how reliable the narrator, parents, etc. were and who was telling the truth. I think the one thing that took away from my enjoyment of the story was the narrator. She was a bit annoying, and I thought the way she went from never seeing another boy (besides Boy) to being head-over-heels in love with a stranger in the course of one meeting, felt a bit too forced and unrealistic. I've also never been a teenage girl so I could be totally wrong haha
