About this audiobook

Enter Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series with this short story previously published in the Death's Excellent Vacation anthology.

Vampires Cat Crawfield and her husband Bones's romantic vacation is interrupted when they're enlisted to guard a spoiled heiress with both human and undead hitmen on her tail. Things quickly go from bad to worse when details of their assignment make their way through the supernatural grapevine, and what started as a simple bodyguard job ends up being a fight for survival that neither Cat nor Bones saw coming.

    Enjoyable story!

While I really enjoyed the book, the narrator grated on my nerves. Don't get me wrong. She did an outstanding job keeping to the same accent, and character as Kat. Unfortunately, it was one that I rubbed me the wrong way. Therefore, I would have done better reading the book than listening to it. It was definitely worth the time though. I liked all the other voices the narrator did.

I think I fell in love with Bones again too, as he showed Tammy how to protect herself even if she was a whiny twit who disgraced the name.

Love Cat and Bones. This little novella is a short look at one of their many adventures.

One for the Money by Jeaniene FrostNight Huntress series 4.5. Urban fantasy vampire romance. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series. Cat and Bones are on vacation but end up on guard duty. The spoiler heiress has no clue as the simple job becomes much more. A bit amusing, a lot bloody plus vampire politics makes this short story a fantastic addition to the series. Cat should know better than to expect a relaxing weekend. It was so nice of Bones to train Cat’s mother.
