About this audiobook

New love takes the cake in the third novel in #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts's Bride Quartet.

Wedding baker Laurel McBane is surrounded by romance working at Vows wedding planning company with her best friends Parker, Emma, and Mac. But she's too low-key to appreciate all the luxuries that their clients seem to long for. What she does appreciate is a strong, intelligent man, a man just like Parker's older brother Delaney, on whom she's had a mega-crush since childhood.

But some infatuations last longer than others, and Laurel is convinced that the Ivy League lawyer is still out of her reach. Plus, Del is too protective of Laurel to ever cross the line with her-or so she thinks. When Laurel's quicksilver moods get the better of her-leading to an angry, hot, all-together mind-blowing kiss with Del—she'll have to quiet the doubts in her mind to turn a moment of passion into forever...

Third book int he Bride Quartet series. This is the story of Laurel who is one of the partners of Vows and she is the one that makes the beautiful wedding cakes. This is also the story of Del, the lawyer for Vows & the sister of Parker another partner of Vows. Laurel was raised in very different circumstances than Parker & Del and although she has been in love with Del for years, she thinks that she is not good enough for me. The sparks fly between them and woven into the story is the business of running Vows and the love & friendship between the four partners.

Nice to see what's going on with the Quartet, but I found the third lacking. Roberts assumed you were reading the third right after the second in the series, so characters and situations aren't really explained. Not a lot of depth or explanation.

DNF - This has to be the ONLY Nora Roberts book that I have been unable to finish and actively dislike. Boring and tedious with characters that I just couldn't care less about.

Laurel and Del... they were good together.. I enjoyed the story.. but I must say I was enjoying the glimpses of Parker and Malcolm just a wee bit more.. can't wait for the last book!

So I reached the third volume in the bridal quartet and I'm so excited to see Chef Laurel and Del fall in love. In the second book, Bed of Roses, Nora Roberts has kind of outlined the two last books, and who the girls will fall in love with. I just love to see how it all builds up and falls in the perfect place.

It was heart wrenching to see how much Laurel wanted and loved Del since they were kids. I'm so glad he finally saw her as more than a younger sister and as his sister Parker's best friend.

Linda, Mac's mom is a total nightmare! I feel sorry for Mac but at least she got her man, who loves her, her best friends and a job that is more than a home and a hobby.

I loved the holiday chapters, it was nice to see our girls relaxing and having fun, I'm excited to read about Parker and Mel, but I'm also sad that the next book will be the last one.

Childhood friends Mackensie, Parker, Laurel and Emmaline have formed a very successful wedding-planning business together but, despite helping thousands of happy couples organise the biggest day of their lives, all four women are unlucky in love.

In book 3 of the quartet, we visit Chef Laurel McBane. Her wedding cakes are as close as anyone can get to edible perfection. Because Laurel has worked so hard to overcome her tough upbringing, she is wary about letting anything, or anyone, get in the way of her work. So when she falls in love, she fights it tooth and nail.

There's a reason that Nora Roberts is a multimillionaire. She's kind of the literary equivalent of french fries.

Not much of a plot to this one; instead it felt like spending time with great friends. Pleasant and fun, but not my favorite Roberts.

I wanted to like this one more than I did. That said, even an "average" Nora Roberts is better than "average" for others I think. The problem I think was that there wasn't much conflict. Usually, what pushes the story along is boy meets girl, boy loses girl/there is a threat to the relationship and then there's the HEA. Well, in this one, for me, there wasn't much of a threat to the relationship. It was all happy families and while I enjoyed the banter between the characters and the writing style was as good as ever, the plot let this one down a bit. I'm wondering what Ms. Roberts will do for the 4th book (to which I am avidly looking forward) for Mal and Parker. They seem to have been paired up by everyone else but them so far even though there is heat between them. I'm hoping there will be a conflict I can get my teeth into like in the first 2 books and that this series will end with a bang. I'd give this offering a C

Savor the Moment is the third installment of four in the Bride Quartet series. In this story, Laurel McBane allows her life long interest in Del Brown, Parker Brown’s brother to surface. Since Laurel and Parker are not only life long friends, but also business associates and neighbors, sticky situations could develop is the romance hits the skids. In true Nora Roberts’ style, the couple has their difficulties before reaching the conclusion. The Bride Quartet is interesting from the standpoint that the four friends run a wedding planning business that is blooming for their high-end clients and Roberts always writes excellent romance. Though this is an easy read, the story has depth and is entertaining.

I really think Nora Roberts had been watching Buffy directly prior to or perhaps during the writing of this series. The dialogue is just so similar to Buffy-speak. I like it.Besides having pretty much the same plot as the last volume (girl in love, guy with commitment issues, known each other forever, don't want to lose the friendship when they start boinking), I still really enjoyed reading this. Maybe because it's summer and this is such a fundamentally beachy read, but I can't really think of anything to complain about except the aforementioned similar plot and also just the average-ness of it all. Although, I'm still really looking forward to reading the last book in the series about Parker and Malcolm. Squee!

Sweet and romantic, I'm enjoying this series. Not much happens except love and that is nice to read every once in awhile. Relaxing to read and enjoy, like an unexpected vacation.

I absolutely love these books. Having already read the first two I had been anticipating reading this one. Laurel and Del are people that lots of people can relate to, Del being Laurel's best friends brother makes their relationship have its ups and downs but they make it work. Plus the added details included about Parker, Mac, and Emma that liven up and add a loving familial quality to the lives of these characters is something that l a lot of books often overlook.

For Laurel, creating the perfect cake for each new bride and groom is more than a matter of pride - it's art. She's thrilled to be working with her three best friends at Vows, their wedding planning company. The fly in her icing? Ivy league lawyer Delaney Brown, the brother of one of her partners. Laurel's tired of being treated like a little sister by the guy she finds most edible - but when she takes things out of sister-land, can she handle the heat in the kitchen?Third in the Brides Quartet, this is predictable fare that still manages to be light, fun and exactly what's called for on a rainy, stay-at-home with a book, cup of tea and a cat-filled-lap afternoon.

Love this series! Love this story! I believe that Laurel's story captures the way many working class women have felt while dating. This book captures the true essence of dating someone who has always been a friend. This book is wonderful as the third in a quartet but would stand alone as well. Cannot wait for Parker's book!

As a partner of Vows with Parker, Emma and Mac, Laurel McBane does her part with the confections. Working her magic on different pastries was easier than facing the feelings she had for Parkers brother Delaney Brown had ever been. Knowing each other for years and having always thought of all four of the girls as his sisters, Del had a difficult time believing what he was starting to feel for Laurel. Knowing didn’t make the doing a good idea, but finding out how she felt made it a different situation. Book 3 ….. Saw this one coming a mile away (or at least two books away). But is was still a wonderfully written addition to the Bride Quartet series. Knowing the characters as much as we get to know them by the third book makes some things almost too obvious. I really enjoy the interaction with the other characters, just because this in not their story anymore does not mean they can’t be in it. Love how all the guys are friends and they all pitch in to help the girls (obviously friends) do their jobs as the wedding extraordinaire that they are. Loved the cakes too, mouth watering just to hear about some of them. For the next book, Happy Ever After, yeah it is obvious who is going to match up with Parker, but half the fun will be getting there. Definitely anticipating it’s release in November 2010.

Pleasant installment in the Brides Quartet. Well-written but very little conflict or significant issues to be resolved by the two chief romantic protagonists. The most interesting thing was the descriptions of fancy weddings and fancy wedding cakes.

The further adventures of Mackensie, Parker, Laurel and Emmaline. Mackensie and Emmaline are happy in their relationships and this is the story of Laurels romance. She has to work out if it's worth the heartache to find out if Parker's Brother Del is interested in her, the chemistry between them is getting too hot to ignore.(By the way, there's nothing above that isn't revealed by the previous books or the back cover of the edition I read)Over the course of the story, as well as the relationship between the existing couples and the new couple you also see the development of the relatiohship between the women and how they fit friends and relationship into a seamless whole. I enjoyed this story, it's like visiting with a bunch of good friends for some gossip.Enjoyable, while somewhat fluffy, it's pretty predicatable Nora Roberts fare.

I wasn't paying attention when I downloaded this book and didn't realise it was part of a series. Did not matter at all that I jumped in at Book 3. Nora Roberts never disappoints when it comes to the perfect romance. Would recommend this book to anyone!

3rd book in the Brides series. I didn't think this one was nearly as good as the other 2. Even though Robert's books are fairly predictable, there is always some tension or a surprise to "spice" things up. I felt this one was very cookie cutter.

After reading the first two books in this series I was really looking forward to Del and Laurel's story. I am very sad to say that this book really disappointed me. I disliked Laurel's character, she was a bit too prickly and not passionate in the least. I liked Del but there was no chemistry between these two. What kept me motivated in this book was the snippets between Parker and Mal. I am really looking forward to their story and hope that the author will do a better job with them, I am hoping for the same chemistry as Emma and Jack.

This was the least interesting book of the series: the writing was so simplistic, lacked wit and substance. Conversation between characters sounded like giddy adolescents rather than intelligent, successful women.I anticipated this last installment, thinking these two love interest characters had the most potential for a great story. I was certainly disappointed.

Savor the Moment is the third book in the Bride Quartet series. I thought this book lacked the energy I’ve come to expect from Nora Roberts. Del and Laurel couldn’t pull off the chemistry we saw with the couples in the first two books. As individual characters I adored them both, but as a couple it just didn’t feel right to me. If you have read the other books in this series you’ll probably enjoy this one. It was a light, fun, and easy read. It would make an excellent beach book. Even though I’m slightly disappointed I still have high hopes for the final book in the series.I’d also like to add how much I love this cover! All four books in this series have beautiful covers.
