About this audiobook

Overwhelmed by tragedy, a woman desperately tries to save her marriage in award-winning author Jennifer Hillier's Little Secrets, a riveting audiobook of psychological suspense.

"Suspenseful and compelling—Hillier is a masterful storyteller." —Chevy Stevens

All it takes to unravel a life is one little secret...

Marin had the perfect life. Married to her college sweetheart, she owns a chain of upscale hair salons, and Derek runs his own company. They're admired in their community and are a loving family—until their world falls apart the day their son Sebastian is taken.

A year later, Marin is a shadow of herself. The FBI search has gone cold. The publicity has faded. She and her husband rarely speak. She hires a P.I. to pick up where the police left off, but instead of finding Sebastian, she learns that Derek is having an affair with a younger woman. This discovery sparks Marin back to life. She's lost her son; she's not about to lose her husband, too. Kenzie is an enemy with a face, which means this is a problem Marin can fix.

Permanently.

If you have a small child(ren) this book may be triggering but if you can get past that it’s a page turner. I couldn’t stop listening. The plot gets thicker and thicker and just when you think you have it figured out something else happens. I really enjoyed this!

Marin was redundant and at points annoying, but the ending was worth waiting for! After this story, I was paranoid about losing a kid I don’t even have! ?

What a fantastic read/listen! Whenever I thought I knew where this book was going, it would take off in another direction. It kept me constantly wondering what would happen next.

I’ll definitely be thinking about this book for a long time to come.

I feel like a lot of parts just weren't needed and this book could've been shaved down a couple hours.

I listen to audiobooks every day, continuously, & unfortunately it’s been awhile since I’ve heard a good one…but I really liked this one. I finished it in 2 days. There were one or two slightly graphic sex scenes I could’ve done without, but other than that, this one’s 5 star worthy in my opinion.

I agree with other reviewers who said nothing happens until the last 2 hrs of the book and that the story could have been told in half the words!
The book is beautifully narrated, and captures your attention from the beginning but as time goes on the author just goes into so much unnecessary description that doesn't even help solve the mystery. i got really fed up after 4 hrs of it and considered stopping it but i was so intrigued to see what will happen just bc nothing did most of the way throughout!
I would skip this book and listen to something more rewarding.... time is too scarce. This will be my first and last time i read from this author.

What an apt title for Jennifer Hillier's latest book! This starts with every parent's worst nightmare - Marin's young son disappears while she's Christmas shopping with him in a crowded Seattle shopping district. Months later, there's been no real progress on the case, and knowing the odds of a positive outcome, the authorities have essentially put it on the back burner. When Marin hires a private detective to continue digging, she the first in a long line of "little secrets" that make her question everything she thinks she knows about her life. It's hard to say much without revealing too much - I'll just say it's fascinating to watch events unravel and see just how many secrets characters are keeping from each other. Overall a very good read.
