Sarah Goodwin

Sarah Goodwin is a novelist who grew up in rural Hertfordshire. Sarah graduated in 2014 with an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. After writing several historical novels, she decided to write instead about the wild, the darkness and survival, which led to her coming up with the idea for ‘Stranded’, which would become her first professionally published novel. ‘The Yacht’ is Sarah’s fifth locked-room thriller published by Avon, an imprint of HarperCollins.

I try not to let other reviews influence me but I should have listened this time because this didn't have any suspense or any thrills. The narrator was flat and uninspired, possibly from the lack of stimulus the story offered. There were a couple of spots, I felt where the time line didn't make sense to me and I certainly didn't like the superficial characters. This storyline has been done before and way better than this one. It was nice that everything was tied up so neatly and with a bow. UNREALISTIC. Sorry didn't like it at all, don't know how I finished it to my surprise. Don't waste your time, there are better things to do... like paint the house.

Wow. What an incredible book. Think… a re-vamped adult version of “Lord of the Flies” mixed with an episode or Lost or Survivor. Seriously this is one of the best books I’ve read! It is terrifying, exciting, suspenseful and shocking! This had me up late at night because my heart was racing and I couldn’t wait to know what happens. I can’t wait to listen to the authors other books. The narrator was excellent too!

I listen in my car on my long commute to and from work ; I found myself not being able to wait to get in the car … and arriving home I was sitting in the garage because I couldn’t step away from the story . I was so angry at the characters at times … I couldn’t wait yo see how things ended , but I was sorry when I finished the book !
