About this audiobook

Slater knew tragedy from a young age, but with the support of his foster family, he turned his life around. Now, back from a stint in the Navy, he's packed up his motorcycle and returned to Red Hook to help to run the family restaurant-a job that comes with a tantalizing upside. Her name is Rocki.

Flirty, sweet, and outgoing, Rocki brings in crowds as the lead singer of the house band. And although she's unable to resist the charms of this intense bad boy, she refuses to open her heart to him. Until a family crisis shatters Rocki's easygoing demeanor, exposing something from her past she'd always hoped would stay hidden.

But Slater knows a thing or two about family secrets-and he sets out to prove to Rocki that their relationship could finally give them both a future worth believing in.

Another great one in the Red Hook series! Slater is back home but for how long is anyone's guess. Rocki knows getting involved with Slater could lead to heartache but since she refuses to let her heart get involved she should be safe. These two are perfect for each other but secrets and their pasts may keep them apart.

I loved all the books in this series but I think this might be my favorite. I definitely recommend it.

I have been a fan of Robin Kaye since I was lucky enough to win a copy of Back to You, the first book in the Bad Boys of Red Hook Series. Ms Kaye instantly became one of my favorite authors. I have loved this series from the beginning and have had the chance to read them all. I have loved each book and adored all the characters. However, Had to Be You just might be my favorite of the series.Slater doesn't remember a whole lot from his childhood. He knows it was a rough life before he came to live with his father (foster father) and brothers. He just doesn't remember what all happened. Slater learns more about his past than he ever wanted to know. Slater's story was very emotional. I loved how Slater's family really rallied around him. They were there for him whether he wanted it or not. They knew he needed them. I cried several times while reading this book. Ms. Kaye has a created a group of wonder characters that I feel a close connections with. I truly felt like I was living the story with a friend while reading this book. I won't tell you what happened, you must read this book to find that out for yourself. When Slater first arrives back in Red Hook he meets Rocki. Rocki is the sexy singer at his father's bar (The Crows Nest) Slater and Rocki have an instant attraction. Look out, do NOT put anything flammable between these two because it will ignite. Rocki is determined not to get involved though. That is until her brother is seriously injured. Slater takes her home and finds out all the things that Rocki has been keeping from her Red Hook family. Rocki has had a lot happen in her life as well. She has quite a story to tell and I found myself in tears reading her story as well. This whole book was a very emotional story. I love to feel that deep connections with the characters of the story and let me tell you Ms. Kaye has written these characters so well that I really did feel the connection. Slater and Rocki both have a lot to over come in order to be together. They both have very tragic issues and a few issues with relationships. There are a few secrets that are revealed along the way as well. We learn something in this book that we have been wondering since the first book. If you have been following the series you will know what that might be. If not I don't want to tell something that will give something big away if you have not read the whole series. I loved catching up with everyone in the family that I had read about in previous books. That is one thing I really love about series books. I love meeting old friends in new books. On the whole this book is just fabulous! I loved it!! I would recommend that you quickly click the link below and grab yourself a copy. If you haven't read the whole series there are links down there for those as well. I don't think you will be disappointed in any of the books. Each story in this series was wonderful! I can't wait to see what Robin Kaye may have in store for us next. I know I will certainly be anxiously awaiting the release of her next book. I was given the opportunity to read this book so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you on Had To Be You.
