She's done it again ... both Faith and Hilary! I'm totally hooked on this series (this is book #4) bc the characters are so real and the British humor knocks my sox off. If you loved Nancy Drew as a grrl, you'll love Hilary.

crime-thriller, murder, murder-investigation, England, procedural, relationship-issues, relationships, office-politics, suspense, unpleasant-co-worker, friendship, law-enforcement, small-town, secrets, lies, teens, extortion, photography, photos, unputdownable*****Another twisty tale from Oxfordshire. The murder victim is a fifteen year old boy who turns out to be a very nasty little git. The list of suspects just keeps growing until an ending that totally blindsided me!Gemma Dawson is the voice actor who really brings even more credibility to the story.

DI Hillary Greene is called in to investigate the murder of a 15 year old boy. But what possible motive could there be for his death. Add that to complications in her private life, and changes about to happen in her professional one she at first finds it difficult to discover a motive.
Once again an enjoyable well-written mystery with some well-drawn characters.

Here Hillary and team investigate the murder of a 15 year old boy in an allotment shed. Hillary has a new boss, Paul Danvers from previous instalments, and is (of course!) fending off his romantic interest in her. The Mel and Janine drama continues, and Tommy is about to be promoted to another station. The investigation itself is very well done until the end, when the nature of the "club" the murderer is involved in is revealed: I found it hard to believe there were so many interested parties/persons in need of such a club (trying not to introduce spoilers) in this rural area.
