About this audiobook

At a crossroads between a cringe-worthy past (Todd the Toad) and an uncertain future (she's not exactly homeless, but it's close), Lucy Swift travels to Oxford to visit her grandmother. With Gran's undying love to count on and Cardinal Woolsey's, Gran's knitting shop, to keep her busy, Lucy can catch her breath and figure out what she's going to do.

Except it turns out that Gran is the undying. Or at least, the undead. But there's a death certificate. And a will, leaving the knitting shop to Lucy. And a lot of people going in and out who never use the door-including Gran, who is just as loving as ever, and prone to knitting sweaters at warp speed, late at night. What exactly is going on?

When Lucy discovers that Gran did not die peacefully in her sleep, but was murdered, she has to bring the killer to justice without tipping off the law that there's no body in the grave. Between a hot 500-year-old vampire and a dishy detective inspector, both of whom always seem to be there for her, Lucy finds her life getting more complicated than a triple cable cardigan. The only one who seems to know what's going on is her cat . . . or is it . . . her familiar?

I was attracted by the title. This is the best thing I found this year. I love it, it's so cozy and warm, it feels like a hug. I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series

I didn’t hate it. It was definitely warm and cozy and let me live in a fantasy where my grandma actually loves me. I didn’t find the ending as predictable as some people did. I really didn’t like that the chapters cut off before the last word is even spoken.

I'll admit that I got drawn in by the ridiculous title, and boy am I glad I did. This books is wonderful. I love it so much! Vampires, magic, and yarn. What more do you need?

Not bad, though I knew "who did it" early on. It would probably have been better though in print or ebook. The narrator was very distracting and at times almost put me to sleep.

The book was worth continuing with to the end, despite the voice of the narrator.

Wow. I love the premise of this book. It’s got an air of whimsy and I love the idea of vampires in a knitting club. But the main character is kind of dumb and boring. She’s so boring. The writing is OK for what it is, but short.

cute and cozy mystery. did not think it was who it was.

I really enjoy cozy mysteries and I love supernatural stories so finding a series that is both was a fun happenstance. The writing is well done and the narrator adds a fun twist with her different inflections in the accents.
I enjoy when a book is well written as opposed to some of the newer ones that just rush through the plots. This one has good detailing and I’m looking forward to reading the next one

Loved this book! Starting the next one immediately. If you like to knit this author describes knitted items in fantastic detail. To the point where you can just close your eyes and picture the items. While it was a fairly easy mystery to solve, the character development was well done. Overall a lovely companion to an afternoon of knitting.
