About this audiobook
If you are the parent of a toddler or preschooler, chances are you know a thing or two about tantrums. While those epic meltdowns can certainly be part of "normal" toddler behavior, they are still maddening, stressful, and exhausting-for everyone involved. What can you do to keep your cool and help your child calm down? Rebecca Schrag Hershberg, child psychologist and mother of two, has a unique understanding of both the science behind tantrums and what works in the heat of the moment to nip blowups in the bud. With her customizable plan, you'll learn:
#9679 Why your toddler's developing brain is hardwired for "big emotions."
#9679 What you may be doing (unintentionally) to encourage outbursts.
#9679 Ways to use structure and routines to help your child feel secure.
#9679 How to reduce tantrums at tough times of day, from wake-up to bedtime.
#9679 Strategies for managing tantrums under difficult circumstances, from travel to moving to divorce.
#9679 Ways to deepen your parent-child connection-starting right now.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Very good information about how to handle tantrums and the general mindset of toddlers and preschoolers.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Because of this book i now am practicing ... creating a visual schedule to show my daughter the plan for the day. I created it by first printing out pictures of her doing various activities such as sleeping, eating, swimming. Next, I went to the makerspace in the library and created buttons using the images without the pin backing. Lastly, I got magnets from Michaels and put them on the fridge and place the activity buttons according to the plan for the day, thank you Rebecca!
