This was a book has great advice, tips, and best of all a new approach to dealing with out kids, rather than our so called, ‘traditional’ ways of parenting. The ways I’ve handled my kids, which doesn’t work, were mentioned almost verbatim in this book. All the things I dislike about parenting, all the hard times were presented in a new outlook that reflects the life that we are living in society today. We can’t spank or we risk be labeled and have our children taken away, but as I have felt strongly all along, we don’t need to and it’s not the answer. All we know is what our parents taught them and most of them, well, are old and have old fashioned views. Nothing against parents from previous eras because they didn’t have the research and knowledge we do now, and what our parents parents were taught is practically barbaric and not tolerated today. Thank you to this author who broke it down, in a organized and easy to read/ listen to format. Also, thank you for touching upon real situations and everything I have been struggling with as a single parent of a toddler. I’m going to listen to it one more time, just to make sure I didn’t miss anything to add to my notebook of emergency solution options, instead of yelling. Excellent job! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5
