About this audiobook
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, anything can happen.
In this glittering and heartwarming collection, three of today’s bestselling sweet romance novelists offer up the gift of cheer for the winter holiday season.
A Christmas Do-Over by Sheila Roberts
Darby doesn’t want to go home for the holidays, but a career fail sends her slinking back to the small town she always wanted to escape. No one there is especially glad to see the former mean girl—especially not her sister, Erica, or childhood best friend, Gregory. Darby is working hard to be a better person, but has she eaten enough humble pie to make amends?
Dashing Through the Snow by Melissa Ferguson
When Willow’s boyfriend of seven years dumps her on the eve of a romantic getaway, she decides to take the two-week train trip on The Christmas Express alone. Hurt as she feels, she can’t anticipate how the hilarious rebound ride with conductor Oliver, elf Ian, and aging world adventurer Clarence will heal her heart—and renew her sense of worth.
A Perfectly Splendid Christmas by Amy Clipston
Kacey adores the metropolitan life, but when she gets away to help her sister during a family crisis and run her bakery, she falls in love with former classmate Drew. The problem: he’s a small-town man, and she’s a big-city woman. Is their love big enough to overcome such a major difference?
Curl up with your favorite holiday drink and sink into three worlds where dreams once thought long-gone are still within reach.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book contains three novellas that aim to get any reader into the Christmas spirit. In the first story, Darby returns to her hometown at Christmas, planning to mend fences with people whom she offended in the past. Darby finds this a daunting task, especially as she tried to reunite with her beloved sister. As the season commences, Darby also encounters her lost friend from the past, but will he prove to be more than a friend? The second story introduces readers to Willow, as she embarks upon an adventurous trip aboard the Christmas Express after her long time boyfriend ends their relationship. As she gets to know the Christmas Express family members and staff, Willow finds a very special Christmas adventure awaits her, The third story features Kacey, as she and her mom help sister Dani at her bakery when Dani's family falls upon hard times. As Kacey celebrates Christmas in her small home town, she becomes reacquainted with her high school sweetheart. Will their romance turn out to be the real thing, or just a slice of Christmas magic? These three stories are clean and sweet reads, appropriate for the season, with messages of reconciliation and a return to what really matters in life. Each story can be read in one sitting. I received this book from the publisher Thomas Nelson and from NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The wonderfully delightful novella collection On the Way to Christmas was written by Sheila Roberts, Melissa Ferguson (two new authors to me) and Amy Clipston. Each story will warm the cockles of your heart. You can't help but feel the spirit of the season as you take part in Darby's mean girl attitude transformation in Sheila Roberts' "Christmas Do-Over," experience an exciting Christmas train ride in Melissa Ferguson's "Dashing Through the Snow" and drool over delectable fresh bakery treats in Amy Clipston's "A Perfectly Splendid Christmas."Although I wasn't sure about the two new authors to me, I decided to take a chance because the book sounded so intriguing. I'm very glad I did because the stories were ideal for the holiday season. Of course, Amy Clipston's tale cannot be overlooked. I always enjoy them! So, grab your favorite blanket, curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and settle back to enjoy three distinct yet wonderful Christmas stories!I received a review copy of this book from NetGalley. All opinions are my own, and I am voluntarily leaving this review.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Are you ready for some Christmas inspiration, but short on reading time? This is the book for you! Three different authors relate unique stories that remind us of the many emotions of Christmas, and each tale has great characters, a heartwarming romance, and many of the special traditions that we associate with the season.Sheila Roberts shares the tale of a mean girl who reluctantly goes back home for Christmas. Darby knows she should change but will she be able to make amends? In 'A Christmas Do-Over' Roberts reminds us that second chances are always possible,Willow embarks on a cross-country trip on The Christmas Express and encounters romance, adventure, and elves galore! Melissa Ferguson made me feel like I was also there, 'Dashing Through the Snow'!'A Perfectly Splendid Christmas' is especially appealing, and I enjoyed watching Kacey and Drew's reunion as they spend Christmas in Splendid Lake, North Carolina. Amy Clipston kept me fully engaged in this heartwarming story, and I kept hoping that Kacey and Drew might find more than a renewed friendship! This is a book to savor, as you're invited to take part in baking cookies, Christmas caroling, family get-togethers, and attending the Christmas Tree Lighting Festival. On the Way to Christmas is a delightful, contemporary romance collection that totally captures the magic of the season!I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Title: On The Way To Christmas: Three StoriesAuthors; Sheila Roberts; Melissa Ferguson; Amy ClipstonPublishers: Thomas Nelson--FICTION, Thomas NelsonReviewed By: Arlena DeanRating: FourReview:"On The Way To Christmas" [Three Stories]: Sheila Roberts; Melissa Ferguson; Amy ClipstonMy Assessment:"On the Way to Christmas" was three entertaining short stories, each about the holiday. We find the first story: "A Christmas Do-Over," was about how a mean girl finally changes her ways and, after returning home, puts it into practice letting the reader see if she had changed her ways. It will be good to see if Darby can make amends, ask forgiveness, and get second chances and maybe a HEA. We find Darby needed forgiveness from her sister...and her friend Gregory. I will stop there and say pick up this read and see how it all comes out. Let's see if Darby will be able to eat humble pie and make amends?'The next holiday read, 'Dashing Through the Snow,' was a different kind of read where one will find it exciting and engaging fantasy story, "Dashing Through the Snow" deals with a Christmas-theme Polar Express train trip for grownups" which was a very creative story. What will happen when Willow has been Dumped by her boyfriend [Jonas] of seven years and meets a few other interesting characters on that train ride? The story involves 'taking chances, new beginnings, and maybe a HEA.'The last holiday read was 'A Perfectly Splendid Christmas,' where two childhood best friends [Kacey & Drew] meet up again in their hometown. Will they be able to express their love for one another this time? The story was somewhat predictable but still a good holiday read. There was so much enjoyment in how these family and friends got together during the holidays and had a wonderful holiday. But will Darcey and Drew get what they want in the end?How will things work out for the three-holiday stories? The reader will have to pick up this good package and well-written read to see how well these three authors bring out these sweet Christmas stories to the reader.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5On the Way to Christmas contains three contemporary Christmas romances by Sheila Roberts, Melissa Ferguson, and Amy Clipston. These are sweet stories that will get you in the mood for the holidays. I thought all three were well-written with steady pacing. I liked the characters and their stories. Amy Clipston takes us back to Splendid Lake in a Perfectly Splendid Christmas. I enjoyed returning to this charming town for Christmas. Kacey and Drew are getting a second chance, but only if one of them is brave enough to speak up. This was a heartwarming story. Dashing Through the Snow by Melissa Ferguson has Willow embarking on the Christmas Express by herself thanks to her discourteous ex-boyfriend. There is a handsome conductor who just might be the one for Willow. I laughed often while reading Dashing Through the Snow. I enjoyed the humor. I wanted Willow’s elf shoes (they sound so cute). The ending was delightful. A Christmas Do-Over by Sheila Roberts has Darby returning home for the holidays with her tail between her legs. Darby needs to apologize for her past behavior and prove that she has changed. That old saying that what goes around comes around, well Darby may be in for a big dose of what she used to dish out. These were three lighthearted tales that will get you into the spirit of the season. On the Way to Christmas is a charming collection of Christmas stories with scrumptious cookies, a school choir, an elf ensemble, competitive chess play, a snowball mishap, an ornament accident, and Christmas cheer.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a book that includes three novellas, they all revolve around Christmas and all have a sweet romance involved. Now this is a Christian Publisher and was expecting more faith based stories, and yes, I did enjoy the book, but this is not a true Christian read, one did mention going to church twice a year.A Christian Do Over, a sweet read about one of the bad girls and can you go home again? Dashing Through The Snow, a story about a train ride, and loved the name of the father! The third and final A Perfectly Splendid Christmas is a story about seeing what is in front of your eyes! These are three great reads to help get you into the Holiday Spirit!I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Thomas Nelson, and was not required to give a positive review!
