About this audiobook

The #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Sea Haven novels returns to the circle of the six sisters of the heart, bound by the elements-and to one who possesses the power to inflame the most dangerous passions of all. Flame-haired Lissa Piner is a skilled glass blower whose delicate gift conceals a burning inner strength that can destroy as exquisitely as it can create. Commissioned to design chandeliers for a string of luxury hotels, her remarkable skills have taken her to Italy. But Lissa's real mission there is a secret. For her entire life has been a lie, leading to a chance to avenge a terrible wrong. Enlisted as her bodyguard is Casmir Prakenskii, a trained assassin living off the grid. In Lissa, he sees a kindred spirit-something unexpected and wicked, mysterious and sensual. But more than desire is about to bring them together: because both of their pasts cry out for revenge. And for two people with this many secrets, this much passion, and this many enemies, someone is bound to get burned.

But the fight they have up ahead to destroy their greatest enemy might be their toughest challenge...Plot and Story LineFire Bound was such a wonderful addition to this series, and I had a blast reading this one. I have been in love with the way Feehan has written this series so far, and Fire Bound was a great story. I was able to obtain it through my library through audio, and so it took some time to get through it, but it was so fun to see the way this book unfolded. There were some heartbreaking moments, especially for Lissa and Casmir. It was quite hard to see them go through some challenges here. I really adored both of these characters together and see them fall in love. What I really admired was seeing the slow burn romance that these two build through the story. There is a element of danger from beginning to end, which makes sense considering that they are surrounded by enemies. What I adore about the these two being together, was how well they work in harmony together, especially when it comes to missions. Casmir may be overprotective at times, but he also understands her abilities and how important these missions are to her and respects that and I admired that fully. Especially considering that at the beginning he appears to be such a dominant alpha male, but as the story continues you see hidden depths to him and we see the gentle and kind side of him as well as the hard and brutal side. And another treat was seeing the last brother enter the story for a time. And boy I really liked him and it was quite fun to see him and Lissa go at it heheThe NarrationThe narration was a standard job, the voice was satisfying but not one of those that really stands out. But she did a overall decent job, but she did the Russian and European accents pretty well especially with the fancy Russian words that were put in place. It was very interesting experience, because Carol Monda was a new narrator for me to listen to and I did like how she did the perfect job for creating the right moods for the story. Well Done. The CoverI have loved all the covers in this series, but this one is a bit "bleh" to me. Nothing significant and I wish they had done a bit more with it like the other classes.Overall ViewFire Bound is a thrilling and fast paced romance which creates vivid emotion, stunning detail and sexy romance that is guaranteed to bring a smile on your face and leave you excited for book 6!!

I enjoyed this 5th book in the series, but I would have to say it wasn't my favorite one. I think the ending with the Sorbocov's was rushed. With as much as this has been hyped up in the other 4 books I would have thought this would have had a conclusion that would have taken the forces of the whole Prekenski family. A lot of time was spent on Lissa's revenge story and I think they should have ended with that and had another story around the Sorbocov revenge.

Carol Monda was my least favorite narrator in this series. She didn't quite capture the menacing tone of these highly trained yet controlled assassins. I have been reading this series every month and this is why I tend to shy away from binge reading series. After a few books, this one was more of the same insta-love between a sister of the heart and a Prakenskii. All the other ones didn't annoy me like this one, but the romance didn't move me that much.Lissa Piner was a sister that I didn't know much about in terms of her special ability. She was definitely a leader and trusted voice amongst her sisters but I didn't know what element she wielded until the book title. When Lissa goes off on a secret mission, the Prakenskii brothers sent one of Their own, Casmir, to shadow her from a distance. If you have read the books before then you know what comes next between those two.The more interesting part of the story was Lissa's background and the role it still played in her actions. That mystery and subsequentl revelation was the intrigue plot that kept me listening to this book.Overall, I enjoyed the story but I would like the heroes to work a little harder to get the heroines!

I was given this book in exchange for a honest review.UGH...the ONLY thing it was missing was that horrible 1970's boom-chicka-bow-wow music and it would have porn! Setting, story line, character development...basically EVERYTHING...was secondary to sex scenes and bad, pretend D/s sex scenes at that. Possible trying to keep up with FSoG?? Not something I would read to anyone that enjoys an in-depth story.

I received this book as part of the LT early reviewers program. I keep trying to go back to Feehan and each time I am disappointed. As with the few other recent stories I've read by her, these books lack interesting plot devices and are now soley reliant on graphic sex. What compounds this for me here, is that I requested the audio book and unfortunately I didn't like the narrator either. It was a lose lose for me this time.

I have the audiobook on CD version. So far I'm through the first CD and I have to agree with pnwbookgirl. Too much sexual tension and men saving women, and not enough action. I don't really care for the narrator, either. I had high hopes for this one because it's billed as a supernatural type novel, but so far it's all about sex. I'm going to revisit my review after I get through the rest of it, if I get through it, but at this point I won't be reading the other books in the series.

Far too influenced by the recent S & M craze inspired by 50 shades. I normally enjoy the books in this series; this one was a bit stomach turning. I hope Feehan gets it back together soon.
