About this audiobook

Readers who just can’t get enough of the Reverend Curtis Black—the charming
con man and insufferable womanizer who stars in Sin No More, The Best-Kept
Secret, and other acclaimed, bestselling novels by Kimberla Lawson Roby—are
going to love his daughter, Alicia. In the New York Times bestseller The Best of
Everything, Alicia Black takes center stage while the rascally pastor stands on the
sidelines, and Roby triumphs once again. The Best of Everything, is provocative
entertainment—a treat for fans of Terry McMillian, E. Lynn Harris, and Eric Jerome
Dickey—because when it comes to outrageous behavior, “like father, like
daughter” definitely applies.

Juvenile writing and story line. So VERY repetitive!!!! Couldn’t make it past the 3rd chapter. A wasted book! The characterization of Alicia is not in keeping with the girl in the previous books. Very amateur writing.

I enjoyed the storyline. Narrators do a good job making sure the characters are on point.

I have read all of Kimberla Lawson Roby books and I can truthfully say I have enjoyed every one of them. But if you haven’t started reading her books on Curtis Black you are missing out.

Reverend Curtis Blacks’ daughter, Alicia who swore to never be like her father. Her love for money, and all that it can buy. Alicia, born to the good life, doesn’t see her addiction as a serious problem, and what effect it will have on her marriage to Phillip.First of all, I love to shop (especially books), but not to the magnitude of Alicia. I have a budget, and I definitely wouldn’t hide my purchases from my husband. Second, you have got to listen to the audiobook narrated by Caroline Clay. Clay does an excellent job of conveying the story.Third, it’s with no doubt that we will revisit Alicia in a future novel. I look forward to the next book in the series - ‘Be Careful what You Pray For’

Alicia has it all, or so it would seem. But if she's not careful, she is going to lose it all. Newly married, she is having a hard time adjusting to a more frugal lifestyle than she enjoyed when her father was paying her bills. It's not long before she's tempted down a wrong path, jeopardizing her marriage. She has some growing up to do, and it may just be too late. An interesting tale with complex characters makes for a compelling read.
