Man, I knew the German past was going to be a dark history, but I had no idea. It’s dark. It made me recast the chief and his manipulations. I was worried that this book would rehash too much of the same story that the other two books had, but luckily it moves away from it rather quickly.

One thing I know for certain: Carter is a morally grey character. I like that the author gives you the perspective to decide how to view him.

This series was really good and similar to another political MMF pairing. I enjoyed learning what made Carter tick and what drove his Dom persona. Would love a book about Eddie and see that gets his HEA
