The place she rents already has someone else living in it, and she can't seem to get the owner to help her. It looks like Olivia has no choice but to stay in the loft with AJ, her new roommate. To Olivia's surprise, she starts to become quite fond of AJ despite their differences. AJ embodies the warmth and kindness she appreciates, but is he glamorous enough to keep her interested?

And what about Carlo, who seems to be the man of her dreams — who Olivia is inexplicably unsure of? AJ tells her that Carlo is a dangerous presence, but how can she believe him? Who can she trust in this strange city?

By chapter 14 I was shaking my head and wanted to strangle Olivia for her nativity and trusting Carlo. I knew early on that he was a criminal and Mafioso. It took her long enough to start getting suspicious.
